My mother taught me, you can be poor but clean and tidy, if you can walk past it, you can pick it up, if you use it you put it back where it belongs. My mother taught me many other things, but that's for another day. You both worked very hard helping this person, I hope she shows her appreciation by keeping it that way.

We can hope for improvement, but I don't feel anything will change. Too many years of crap and junk. The neighbors must be disheartened to have to live by such lazy losers. Someone had money, looking at all the stuff around that crap place. Drugs? Alcohol? Thieves?

Looks like hoarding syndrome. The yard becomes a dumping ground once the house becomes full. It's a mental health problem that is not easy to fix. I hope this lady gets the help that she needs.

As a retired person on very low income, I know how much this yard clean-up means to the homeowner. With the size of the job, and for free, I would have been baking them some cupcakes and provide them with a nice lunch. I generally do offer refreshments when I have someone doing maintenance or clean-up. Cold water in a frosty mug if nothing else. I may not be able to pay much, but I can offer hospitality to these hardworking folks.

As a person who has depression, things can get out of hand quickly when I enter a depression period. The worse the house and garden get get, the harder it is to start cleaning and fixing things up again. I luckily have a care system through medication, therapy and support from family and friends, things don’t get as dark and out of hand as they used to. My point is, I doubt they wanted to let it get this bad. By the decorations and plants up front, it’s clear they once enjoyed their space and it was beautiful but life happened. These folks are very kind to help them and we shouldn’t judge them for what happened. I hope they enjoy their newly cleared area and it’s the reset they needed to help them get back to enjoying their yard.

Growing up in a low income community with a house that my parents bought with a huge yard. We kids got up every Saturday morning and help our mother with yard work. We didn't have a beautiful home, but my mother made sure our yard look tidy up and very clean. We appreciate our parents giving us a home. I don't know why and the circumstances of this family but some of the junk could had been thrown away before all the hard work these two men did! So no matter the work they did, with that junk still there the yard will look the same.

My family was poor too, but my mom (dad never did yard work of any kind) made sure the grass was cut and we kids were out there picking up paper and whatnot trash that passers-by would throw in the gutters or people would toss out of their car windows. Our house was ugly, but the 3 bedroom flat we lived in was what my folks could afford. We kept it clean inside and outside, and my mom worked a full-time job while she and dad had me and five other siblings.

What these guys do is wonderful. Al is a monster with that string trimmer! I don't want to sound negative, but seems to me the improvement is short-lived, a very temporary fix to a serious problem in most of the videos I've seen (and I've seen a lot). First, this is Florida, folks, and all that green stuff is going to be back soon, and all year long. Think Al and AC could benefit from teaming up with a Got Junk kind of business which could clear some of that crap for free. That is, if the homeowners would allow it - from what I've seen, most of the time they don't even come out of the house! Not even to move a car which might be in the way. I'm a senior who can no longer do yardwork, so I'm thankful that my budget gets at least a 3-4 month break in the winter from paying my yard service.

Anyways, It will look clean once again. Hopefully her daughter has friends with trucks.

You don’t need to live by them. Every town has people like this. You can drive and find a disaster house like that in five minutes. Many towns do nothing to maintain standards. I live in a nice middle class neighborhood and the house down the street has had a tarp on their roof for three years. Town officials say there is nothing they can do.

Jingle Bells ALL the Way AL LOLOL that was GREAT!!! I am in shock and awe over that nightmarish yard. When we were children growing up with (8) kid's trust me everything was organized, clean, no clutter inside or outside. The kitchen and the house were spotless we each had our chores. We lived on a huge corner lot and my older brothers took care of the mowing outside. I have never seen anything like this yard before wow. You were one brave man Al to take this on God Bless you. By the looks of it, I don't think much will get moved anywhere unless they are hit in the pocketbook. I would rather spend the money on a dumpster and get rid of all that trash than to pay someone a lot of money to tell me I still have to have it all removed. It doesn't make sense but sometimes it get's overwhelming with all the collecting and people have no motivation to do anything about it. Sad. Nice of Al to do the cleanup though.

@@quasar3210 WTF?! Why is it not easy to use your hands and pick up the stuff from the yard and throw it into a garbage can? You have seen how easy and fast the guys have been able to remove the stuff from the yard to be able to mow the lawn. So if the family/daughter would invest one day, they would be able to clean all the stuff. And if necessary order a junk container and throw everything into that container. Problem solved.
