I believe the hardest part about this yard transformation wasn't you cutting the lawn it was that the owner admitting that he couldn't do it anymore. It took a lot of guts from the owner to let you do it. I can just imagine the owner looking out the window or every time he got into his car. Your knock released some tension in the owners mind. Intentions are important. We probably kill a lot of critters unintendedly. But if you see it, you should spare it. Anyone who laughs and says "what about all the ones you don't see and step on?" Just doesn't get the full picture. Intentions are everything ❤

That was a pretty creative idea to look for a yard outside of the rainfall. Glad you followed your intuition as well and found someone who really needed you. Such a nice change. The neighbors would be pleased at the cheerfulness as well. Good you walked the property as you worked, trying to catch any hidden surprises. I've watched a number of your videos now and I'm reminded of that saying "real heroes don't always wear capes". You are truly a hero and an inspiration. Your yard transformations are truly incredible that really help out the homeowner and their neighbors. I know a lot of your jobs are done for homeowners who are physically unable to keep up their property or are in a financial bind, but I think this is the first video I've seen where the homeowner at least gave you some water or lunch money for your efforts. Al, I love your channel for a couple of reasons 1) you have a good heart and I love that about you. 2 I love seeing something look better than when you came. It's pretty easy to see why the yard is out of control, most people don't have your equipment. 3) no offense Al, but I suffer from insomnia and hearing the equiptment running puts me to sleep. My wife has always done our yard as well as the church and her mom's. I farmed and rarely got home during daylight. I injured my back 23 years ago. Still farmed until a couple years ago. Then rented the farm land to my stepson. Now I am her mechanic . I keep tires patched, blades sharp, oil levels full, and fueled. I do run the mower some. She got a zero turn and I can sit with my knees together. If I sit on a riding mower with my legs apart it just skyrockets my pain. But it's hard to see people doing those things you used to and can't.

Hi Sharon, I wanted to comment on your post. I have two riding tractors one is a craftsman and the other is a John Deere. The craftsman is a heavier machine and less jarring on uneven surfaces. The John Deere I got from Home Depot and it is bumpy bump all the way. Also the craftsman is a stronger mower and can pull ground implements which is great.

Just hearing the emotions in her voice. The appreciation and the sincere thanks to Al. That was a job well done. The grass was so green. In Puerto Rico it's been almost 4 months without rain. Only a few areas had rain. The reservoir are low. Blessings to Al and his lovely family.
