Hi Mr Steve. Just made one of these shunt for my scope last week and add it as a custom probe. Excellent idea using data logging. Thanks for the breakdown

Would be great 2 channels on shunt, and 2 channels on BUS with alarm on shunt to know which module is waking ,etc.

Hi Steve experimenting already, but having issue with alarm, (testing lithium battery) have set lower threshold at 3700mv upper at 3900mv voltage running at 3800mv, alarm is on continuously?

Thank you for this video. One question: around 5.30 when setting up the formula for the math channel how come that mV divided by 1000 results in volt and not in microvolts?

Hello Juergen, thank you for the inquiry. In the example at 5:30 we have (Input mV / 1000) to obtain volts. For example (1000 mv / 1000) = 1 V We then divide this value by 0.1 (resistance) to obtain Current (Amps) I hope this helps. Take care......Steve

interesting new feature , how do you set up data logging ? as when you open picoscope on pc .thanks for sharing

Great info well presented thanks, can we use our old 4425 with the 4425A for the 2 scopes option then, I knew I kept it for a reason

Yep, pretty much all of the Picoscope range of Oscilloscopes can be used with PicoLog.

Hello and thank you for the inquiry. Yes you can as both scopes can be connected to PicoLog at the same time to increase your channel count to 8 and beyond if necessary. Outside of PicoLog both these scopes are of immense value either with PicoScope 7 Automotive and or PicoDiagnostics

Hi Steve, what power rating is that 0.1ohm resistor.. they vary from 10-100w

I guas It's a 150 watt resistor "Arcol HS150 R1"

@@jacobmrk8903 I guess that would be a good value, rated upto about 12amps current as opposed to a 10w which would be rated at under an amp
