A short trip to the English Riviera, for a 3 in 1 special. The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, Gresley A4 No. 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ with the ‘English Riviera Express’, & ‘Kingswear Castle’ Paddle steamer, the only coal-fired paddle steamer, in the United Kingdom. The railtour came down from High Wycombe to the English Riviera, via Oxford, and Melksham. From Taunton, the service was steam hauled, by Gresley A4, No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. The normal green timetable was running, with 6 return trains, hauled by Dartmouth River Rail resident, No. 75014 Braveheart. I followed Gresley back to Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway, putting myself in Pole Position for chasing 46115 Scots Guardsman down to Par on the following day.
