The difference is palace plays like a team now, not just sitting back and hoping for a counter. Zaha at palace was basically a one man team that’s not the case anymore.

as a palace fan, I'd say olise has a far higher potential than eze or zaha ever had but zaha was unbelievable for us. people dont realise that for most of his time playing for us in the prem, we had 10 players sitting deep defending and he was expected to collect long balls as the only player on that side of the pitch and just do it all alone. we've thankfully got a better quality of player on average now to allow eze and olise to thrive.

Eze is far better than Olise. Eze controls the match and calms the ball down. He is a pilot. Their match with Fulham where Eze did not play, they struggled and scored only one goal from behind.

Zaha was doing everything by himself. This current Palace team has a better system for OLISE and Eze to flourish. U can't just clear off Zaha like that, that boy was wicked!

Zaha's longevity is unmatched at Palace. He put the work in for over a decade. I hope we can keep hold of eze and olise!

With Olise and Eze, Palace feels more like a well rounded team especially with glasner. No longer relying on just 1 player but have 2 if not 3 key players pulling the strings. Zaha carried the team on his back but both Eze and Olise have taken that throne very well especially since glasner joined (let's not forget both Eze and Olise were injured a lot this season)

Mateta was playing well before Glasner arrived , starting with his revelatory performance vs Brentford at New Year ; the goals are flowing now because Eze & Oliseh are there to supply and Munoz & Wharton have settled in very quickly. Fair play to Glasner though as he has galvanised the whole squad - Clyne reborn , Richards & Hughes in their natural habitat , the players seem to be enjoying themselves...long may it continue 🙂

If you look at the lineups rather than the badges and then it is not a surprise.

Yh Palace fan here, fully expected to win or at least a draw when I saw the teams but with the big clubs there’s always a chance they’ll pull something out - it’s the manner in which we thumped them that’s raising eyebrows

id agree, the only thing they need to do is keep the consistency. Palace were fantastic, the energy they had. Not looking forward to playing them on the last day after watching that. But well done to them!

Zaha is Mr Crystal Palace, got us promoted in that very good side. Murray scored 30 that season, Bolasie Jedi Speroni Gabbidon Damo KG Phillips.......then he kept us up virtually on his own often in sides playing extremely pragmatic football, often getting fouled 15 times a match, having 2/3 players marking him, he's a Palace legend end of......

Eze and Olise are receiving top coaching already. In a team like city, they could be constrained to fitting into a system which doesn’t suit rather like Grealish is and who needs to be in a free ‘ish role to dribble through and take on players which Pep doesn’t seem to like.

The players are only getting recognition since Glasner arrived! If Palace hold onto the squad, they will be a top 4 side!

Zaha with Bolasie was pure vibes and chaos. Pure Palace. After that Wilf was sort-of on his own, double or triple marked. Eze and Olise are more cultured footballers. Better end product and more sell-able. But Palace is a family. For some players that is really important. Eze loves to play football and be happy, after everything he's been through with rejections and injury. Nobody knows what Olise is thinking. But he seems happy and I think he feels at home. I think they will stay another year, possibly two, because they know, with a fit squad, Glasner and a bit of luck, we are capable of getting into Europe. But we will see. The money would be used wisely but will take a while to kick in. This current team is amazing right now.

Olise looks a more world class player than Eze.

Are you sure you are watching crystal palace??? Without Eze that team is rubbish? Did you not watch their match against Fulham without Eze? They only managed to score a late minute goal from behind. But Eze can play without Olise and still manage to pull a win. The only problem i have with Eze is that he gets tired easily, but in terms of talent he is way better than Olise. Don't disrespect Eze.

Ollie is better, lad will end up at Real or PSG. Eze is on par with Wilf but nowhere near as much a Palace legend. Up the Palace 🔴🔵

@@steveveron251 Exactly Steveveron .The thing with Eze is that he is our only player who can surge and carry the ball out of crowded midfield areas ; yes , of course he sometimes loses possession , but basically he is the one taking the 'risks' that can open up the opposing defence. Wilf also lost the ball sometimes - all creative players face that jeopardy but without these players we are a very functional, but ultimately sterile outfit. True , he did get swamped by City's midfield , but he's hardly alone in that and will hopefully learn from it. Super player imo.

He dribbles and delivers dangerous passes that could easily be translated into a goal by any player with good head. I have watched a match where Olise doesn't play and Eze leads the team to victory with Ayew so easily. But look at the match Crystal palace played with Fulham, Fulham dominated the whole second half and pressed them massively, just because there was no Eze to guide the team. Eze is a ballon d'or quality, all he needs is more energy and more speed. But as for talent, he is indispensable..
