Hiya Ron, hope you’re well and many thanks. I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my videos! I’ve still got plenty more to come in the future. I hope you’ve not been too windswept on the coast, with the weather we’ve been having!

It certainly has been windswept. Can't wait for calmer, hazy summer days.

I had been studying Victorian prisons and punishments for an University exam, when I bumped into this old case and did some research. Thank you for narrating this story. Greetings from Italy!

I was wondering if you would be willing to do me a huge favour! Would you be open to recording a few lines from the play 'Top Girls' by Caryl Churchill for me? A few pages tops :) It would really really help me with me accent!

It is a sad tale isn’t it, and I doubt the real truth to why it happened will ever be known. There was speculation, and I’ve seen documents of three possible reasons but I wasn’t going to add possible old gossip to the tale. Some things are best left unsaid if not known to be true.

Wow! Thanks for getting touch, that’s a really interesting piece of family history to be connected with. It’s such an interesting case, from the historical criminal justice point of view, but especially because the motive was never uncovered. It must have been a shock when you found out about it.

If that’s the case then it was one major mistake in the kitchen! Note to self, don’t keep arsenic next to the flour
