For real. I remember the buildup to his match with MJF a year or so ago, they had a couple promo segments and Max absolutely talked circles around him. He probably still would today, but Darby sounded a lot more natural and confident in this promo than I've ever heard him sound.

I really don’t see the appeal of these “shoot promos” they are just cheap pops in my opinion. Nothing unique here. Just another guy bitching about his wrestling company and his coworkers

Darby is so underrated imo. This young man has so much talent, Tony needs to be pushing this guy more.

I don't watch AEW yet, and even as much as I love MJF clips, it still hasn't convinced me to watch yet due to guys like this. If this is his best promo, I don't think I'll ever like or be able to be invested in him, even with Sting helping him. His girlish inhales are very cringe. But to each his own I guess. I'm glad AEW is around and that there IS an audience for it.

I genuinely love Darby Allin. He, MJF and FTR are the highlights of that company.

It just occurred to me that in-storyline Sting came to AEW to align with Darby. Cody Rhodes wanted to be the first one to welcome Sting to the company, but Sting rebuffed him to hookup with Darby. Sting saw more potential in Darby than the guy who is the number one babyface in the industry. How much potential does Darby have. We are only scratching the surface

That started because everyone can't go out there and talk, but it's made everything over scripted and unnatural. But I doubt Darby was shooting from the hip. He probably wrote most of it, if not all of it before hand
