It does, definitely, in his mind and that's where it really matters. Ain't necessary to be physically in the ring with him but yeah, I agree on that hope and I agree with the guys in the comments saying Darby Allin is today the only thing that can keep whoever truly love Pro Wrestling Entertainment still invested in AEW, together with the only few real goats candidates which already made history in that business. Darby Allin has already climbed up to the top of the Everest to me, and he wasn't alone. Now he is alone, on the very top pf Everest, he just needs to kick everybody else's ass off the mountain, whoever tries to climb to that peak and pull him down. Whatever the outcome, that kid {I'm 50 so it's just as he's a kid to me, agewise} is already a self-made legend once in a making. What a dream come true for that kid, for that young man, Darby Allin!

If Darby could die for Sting, he definitely can conquer Mount Everest.

surprisingly, i think he have the least injury out of all of aew wrestlers. i think he have talent for cushioning the blow he takes so it looks more painful than it actually is.

Very very few people die on it now, if you have the money and the time to train then you will get up it. With oxygen and how established the route is, it is more a hike then anything like a mountain climb. 6-800 people do it a year nowadays.

I've never seen 3 guys back off so quickly, when they could've easily overpowered Darby Allin, and beaten him mercilessly! I'm glad that they didn't do that...but that they turned around, and skulked back to the locker room, with their tails between their legs! Darby Allin definitely stood his ground here, and with that Bat, he made sure that his opponents got the message-Loud and clear!

I wonder if Darby has mountaineering experience. Lots of climbers first start by climbing less taller peaks for conditioning and acclimatization before tackling Everest.

Only 1 person climbed everest sucessfully and it was in 1953 his name is Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, every other person that has tried, has died, last year in may more than 30 or 40 people died trying, mostly by falling or being eaten by a avalance or cerebral damage or hypothermia, he is trying to break a record that only 1 guy did and all the many that tried died, this might be the last time we see him in a ring..

sting will still be around in the wrestling world but he wont be competing in matches anymore. alot of people think hes just gonna disappear for good and not make any appearances.

I’m not a fan of Darby’s but I truly admire the adoration he has for Sting. This definitely has “goodbye” vibes to it. Hopefully the guy makes it back.

the Sting traits have not only rubbed off, but it's now almost a torch passing for Darby. I love it and it's a really cool character touch to Darby's personality. we are only one show removed from Sting's retirement and Darby is so incredibly over as a result of it. dude didn't say a single word and they were chanting his name, the cheering for his Mount Everest announcement. dude has it. the day he finally wins that world title will be on the level of Jeff Hardy Armageddon 08 or Bryan's world title win at Mania 30.

The f*cked up thing about climbing Everest is that going up is only half of the work, coming down is just as dangerous.There is a reason why a lot of climbers disappear and die during the descent from the summit. I hope Darby doesn't take any unnecessary risks, because that mountain is unforgiving.

Its scary what Darby is setting out to do It really seems like hes truly grateful for the life hes lived and had come to terms if it were to end soon. Im here really hoping the best for him It seems like climbing Everest is some kind of litmus test hes setting for himself and i hope he conquers it and realizes that incredible strength and worth hes been gifted. Darby is the heel here. Jay came out, gave him points on what he could’ve done better in his match, show empathy towards darbys physical and emotional state, offered to hang out instead of fight. Darby then whispered some sort of threat in his ear and almost assaulted him with a bat. Smh

I am genuinely worried about this Mount Everest adventure he plans on taking. I recently watched "The Society of Snow" film and remembered the gut wrenching unforgiving weather conditions this survivors of a went through. Different situation but blistering weather all the same. Truly praying he will be safe 🙏
