Funny how Dante's means of "immortality" is a slow acting poison that was killing her this entire time. By that I mean that she will body-hop on the fly, but the pieces of her souls left in those previous bodies is hastening her death in the current one.

Yes. She does the body swap, but she’d arguably worse as she engages in fornication and vanity than the pursuit of power- even wanting to mate with Ed...who’s Hohenheim’s son. She’s also more monstrous in that she repeats a process that won’t ever be perfect according to the one who underwent the same thing out of narcissism and absurd stubbornness.

The homunculi (except Sloth and Pride) displaying their humanity is exactly what ultimately lead to Dante's faction almost completely imploding: 1. Greed - He was never controllable and wanted to live by his own standards, he also gave Ed vital info on how to truly eliminate a homunculus, as a means of retribution against his persecutors. 2. Lust - She wanted to embrace the human she was based on. 3. Wrath - Lost Sloth and attempted to sabotage Dante's plan by reviving Sloth. 4. Gluttony - Grief-stricken over Lust to the point of being lobotomy. 5. Envy - He straight up abandons Dante to exact vengeance against Hohenheim, showing that his and Dante's relationship was solely based on mutual gain.

While Brotherhood had a better overall story, the 2003 did the female cast much better. Rose, Sloth and Lust had more of a role to play. Lust just wanted to be human again and was once Scar's love, and Rose was caught in the worst possible situations but still did her best to help the Elrics. and I prefer this version of Sloth much more. Brotherhood's Sloth was just a big man with muscles calling everything a pain. his only role was to dig the tunnels. the other Sloth was Edward's zombie mother and we got so much more drama out of her because Edward did bring his mother back but not in the way he hoped. SO MUCH more than a freak digging holes

Like honestly, calling them Greed, Pride, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth kinda seems pointless in the 2003 version. It’s implied that she was eaten by Gluttony due to the movie. The consumption of the Philosopher’s Stones within Dante overloaded his body and mutated him into the white abomination that we see in the movie. And even it weren’t the case. Her accelerated deterioration would’ve killed her off quickly without a philosopher’s stone to boost her longevity. Meaning she’d die very soon anyway if she had the strength to escape Gluttony. And even if she had succeeded with that stone; Hohenheim implies that her soul would reach her body hacking limit soon and she’d eventually die regardless of what she’d do to maintain immortality.
