The craziest thing about Dante's Inferno is that it is actually a poem! It's hard to tell from the english translation, but in Italian, the language sounds so beautiful! I had no idea there was a film based on the poem - I've gotta check it out now!!!

Yes, the English translations do their best to emulate the terza rima style (or completely do away with it) but they can never get it exact. But, the translations can have their own beauty.

One of the greatest 3 part poems masterpieces of all time, if we can stop watching Jeffs Chanel long enough to read.. lol!!! People always focus on Inferno and are missing out Purgatorio and Paradiso. This saddens me, because people don't tend to need more dread or condemnation in their lives and miss out on the plan for redemption by not including the other books. Its like watching the Fellowship of the Rings and stopping there.

It's sold out, both with and without the slip. I was shocked at how fast they sold out and shot them an email. They sent me a friendly message back saying that I should watch out for an announcement about more within the next few months.

But as a literary scholar, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out Dante's Inferno is not a novel in the traditional sense, it is a narrative work and considered one of the greatest literary achievements in the Western canon. Dante's Inferno is actually the first part of a larger epic poem called The Divine Comedy (La Divina Commedia), written by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri in the early 14th century. It's comprised of three parts: Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. Each part explores different aspects of the afterlife according to Christian theology, with the journey through Hell depicted in the Inferno.

Good job and great subject matter. My writing journey started with the classics - Dante, Homer, and Moby Dick. In my first book, I referenced The Divine Comedy several times.

As a catholic ive always been obsessed with the divine comedy, i think its one of the most influential works of all time, im interested to watch this movie

I don't normally buy horror releases but as soon as I heard of this version of Inferno even existing I had to grab it immediately. Absolutely worth it and is fascinating to watch how much it adapts in such a short run time. Great work Jeff, definitely worth a watch and read for your essay.

Jeff, someone... anyone! I need to have you somehow smack me. I was going through a site last week that had a lot of titles I was unfamiliar with. And I came across this one and thought that would be cool for my collection. $25 isn't too bad. So I ordered it and about 15 minutes later I remembered I needed a haircut. So I went back and canceled it. Not getting that deal anymore because it's sold out everywhere. 😭

Keep publishing. Having something printed and published is worth so much more in contrast to videos and online stuff. Just my biased academic opinion of someone who has written a PhD and books. I can only encourage you to focus on this.

Can you do a video collaboration with other youtubers on the pros and cons of different media organisation systems (alphabetical, chronological, spine color, genre, director, writer, lead actor, production company, distribution company, ect.)?
