Glad to see Big Phil on the show. I had a strong feeling when CBS moved on from Big Phil that we would be hearing from and seeing him here a lot more often. It's sad that more people want to see Pat McAfee types rather than listen to people talk pure football.

You guys talk about Jones “talking control” and having that charisma as a QB that elevates people… that’s exactly one of the things he DOES NOT have. You can’t teach it. You can’t fake it. He’s boring and uninspiring. Sorry. That’s what NY fans have recognized and that’s why they want a new future QB.

@@eopanther8 To be fair, Eli did at times look unemotional out on the field. That said, what TV cameras did not pick up was that Eli has a big personality and a different leadership style than Peyton had. Obviously we know that now. I just don’t see that the in Jones. Plus, Eli was always available and on the field.

Exactly. He's had 5 years to take control. And don't tell me how Nabors will elevate Jones' game - they said the same about Golladay. Jones was horrid at the start of last season. If that happens again, he will be done early. And don't forget to have the medical personnel on standby at all times.

I hope to meet simms one day one of the only real jones supporters and voice of reason. Simms knows his shit.

Fantastic conversation. I remember 2005, in this year Phill Simms covered Falcons vs. Steelers and he still believed in Michael Vick. Vick had one of his best games against the Steelers in his whole Falcons career as passer. IT is not about Vick, and his big failures as person, but he was right, that Vick can be a good NFL Quarterback. He proved it years later, if he changed his personality. Phil is not throwing persons under the bus. That is very very easy. He is a believer, he give his opinion what the person has to change, to use his potential. And so he is right again. Daniel Jones had one game of "Aura" in Jacksonville, when he yelled on Collin Johnson.

Simms always got up too. His helmet was on backwards but he was up! No Barkley so Jones will step up and have more confidence. Pretty cool fellas.

I don’t get why everyone wanted to draft a qb especially drake who is basically dj 2.0 tall strong arm good legs and not from a power college.Daniel jones has shown he can win with a little time to throw and players who can actually make plays be also can deal with and handle the New York spotlight I mean this kid has done the best with 3 head coaches 4 ocs 5 oline coaches Darius slayton as his best weapon no te untill now and saqoun who couldn’t stat on field then played behind some of worst oline in history why can’t people see when we went playoffs he almost willed us to win in multiple games including the playoff game with 300 plus yards in air and 90 on ground he is def good enough to win if we just give the damm guy sone time and now he has weapons in Hyatt nabers wandale and bellinger and Theo and some young running backs and should have a much better oline if he doesn’t do good this year im all for change

Daniel Jones has had 5 years and he is not the guy, and the Giants are throwing good money after bad by keeping him around. Drew Lock also doesn't have it, so he's a stretch to be a good qb for the team. And they are both 1st rounders who should not have been 1st rounders. It is quite clear that Tommy Devito has 10 times more talent, desire, personality and leadership than the other 2. If the coaches don't make the right decision by themselves, fate will make the decision for them because I guarantee Devito will be starting before midseason.

DJ is not a top tier QB but believe he can be really good. He can make every throw, good runner but team has been unstable and without a lot of talent.

Dan Jones is on the Phil Simms 6 free years of injuries/terrible but Simms had the luxury of playing with the best defensive team i also rate Eli above Simms because Eli did more with less no number 1 defense on the Eli teams that's for sure

The problem with the Giants is the same problem they’ve had for 12 years. The offensive line. If the offensive line plays well they have a chance to do really well. If they don’t, they will be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

We said the schedule wasn’t a problem LAST year only to watch DJ get smacked up in the 1st game. This is embarrassing to run him back out there again.

Idk if you're familiar with CFB but there's a reason one is the 6th overall pick & Hyatt was a 3rd rounder. Nabers is a better prospect than Odell even was. Giants had Dallas, SF, Miami, Buffalo four of first six games.. It was a tough schedule. Most of all DJ only played 5 games & with the contract Giants have no choice but to bring him back.

You making excuses for Daniel jones but Bryce young gets all the blame? It’s only one of two reasons either because he’s the first pick, second he’s black or both, the media wasn’t too kind to Cam either so what is it? Is it because they’re different?
