My marriage ended after 49 years due to PTSD from Vietnam. No golden years for me but anybody out there who has this it’s less shame and hurt to ask for help than to take matters into your own hands. We are here because God wants us here. His plan is just not done yet. Thanks,Dan, for caring so much. And what a wonderful reaction. Stay with us. We need you in the world.

First off I want to thank you for your service in protecting us here in America. Thank you for sharing your reaction. My dad was a cop all my life. He always told my brother that men can cry also, Just not all the time. He always told him if he stubs his toe would not be the time, but stuff like this is a good time. Don't let your problems fester. Go get help don't give up. It can also help others with this problem. God bless you.

Thanks for playing this great cover and moving outro. Dan also suffered from depression for several years. He’s very vocal about the subject, and often posts something in September, the International Suicide Prevention Month. Heart of Steel and Don’t Give up, for example. Best wishes to you. We need you! ❤️

Now you've seen Dan's very heart. That was one of the first few songs I listened to, back last April, after "Amazing Grace." I watched Dan emote with THAT journey, and then when I heard THIS one, I began to see where Dan comes from. I, too, have been through a time when all I wanted to do was just start driving and in some place where nobody would find my car for a long, long time, simply drive off the edge of the road, and just...not be there...anymore...forever. I thank God that He rescued me from that, very gently, yet firmly. In fact, it was VERY much like how Dan ministered his plea at the end of this song. I will never, ever forget that, and I can't watch this one without my heart going back to that time, and the plea comes from MY heart, as well. - - - - - - - - - - There are several more that Dan does that are similar. One of them is, "Heart Of Steel" - MANOWAR cover. At the beginning, Dan gives a very heartfelt message in Brazilian Portuguese. The CC button works, so that you can see every word that Dan says, in whatever language you have programmed the button to give you. The song itself is just gorgeous, and the words...wow! More of Dan's heart. I hope you will react to it at some point. If I'm feeling down, it's one of my "go to" pieces of music. It calls you OUT of that pit...so, so wonderful.

I appreciate your openess DDPerks and Dan is very kind to bring it up and give his love to Chester's family. Suicide is a lonely place to be. I've felt suicidal a couple times in my life, but never tried it. But one does feel lonely and like no one cares at times like that. Fortunately, those times have passed.

What a wonderful reaction video, brother! I know you mentioned that no one suggested this song…..this is why…I LOVE ALL of Dan’s glorious masterpieces, and figuring out a favorite song for me is hard, because I love them all! 👏🏼😁 It is like how God passionately loves all of His kids…everyone is a favorite! Songs are like people…they are all unique and different, and I appreciate each one like a masterpiece. Dan did a phenomenal job on this and it was so honorable and tenderhearted of Dan to speak about depression, and showing such love for Chester’s family, friends, band, and fans. I thank God that you are still here with us, brother! I thank God Dan is still with us….I might have never known about you if it wasn’t for Dan’s music. Our lives are to be a blessing to others…we are to be like a loving family. We all need each other. Instruments are no good by themselves without musicians to play their songs. You are a jewel of a man! You have an amazing heart, and I believe total healing from PTSD, in Jesus’ name! May you have the most outrageously joy-filled day!!! 👏🏼🔥🔥❤️🇧🇷
