Jaw dropping was my first reaction to this song by Dan Vasc. Thanks for featuring him today. He's one of the most versatile artists out there as he sings metal, opera, 80's rock and more. Try listening to Nessun Dorma and The Music of the Night. His newest just debuted on Halloween, Iron Maiden's The Name of the Beast. It is incredible. Please react to that when you can work it into your schedule. I discovered him just a few months ago when I listened to Amazing Grace and was blown away by it, and have explored many of his over 200 covers and original songs. I would love to hear more reactions to his music. And, I will be checking out your music as well.

Great reaction. Since you asked: I was completely blown away the first time I listened to this cover. As you've already discovered, Dan's talent, vocal range, breath control are unbelievable. He can literally sing everything from opera to heavy metal. If you REALLY want to hear him do a soprano voice, check out his "one man choir" performing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus.

Thanks for a great reaction! I'd never heard of Dan Vasc until "Amazing Grace" showed up in my feed in June. I gave it a shot to see how some metal idiot was going to ruin it. By the end I was subbing to his channel and have listened to him everyday since. He became my favorite vocalist immediately. He has the most beautiful, versatile, powerful voice on the planet. His covers are as good as or better than the originals. Check out his duet with Fabio Lione on "Dawn of Victory," backed by Dan's band, Fearless. It will blow you away. Dan said that when he listens to a song, he hears the metal version in his head. A perfect example is his duet with Violet Orlandi on "Kiss From a Rose." It's glorious. I loved Seal's original version, but this is even better. Victor the Guitar Nerd plays all the guitars. (He's from Sweden and in the metal band, Eleine.) Dan + Victor = perfection every time. They've worked on many covers including Dan's latest release of Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast." I'm subbing to you now and hoping to see many more reactions to Dan's amazing vocals. Enjoy!

The first time I saw this, I was astounded by his vocal range and virtuosity. Every time since, I've felt the same.

I have been following Dan since his Easter drop of his Amazing Grace cover. Bring Me to Life was probably the 2nd cover I watched and he completely blew me away again. I am a Dan fan for life!

I found Dan Easter weekend of this year, when he released Amazing Grace, and I've been hooked ever since. He has introduced me to music I've never heard, such as Dawn Over A New World and Dawn of Victory. At the same time he has covered music that I have always loved such as Loch Lomond and Scarborough Fair, as well as all the 80's tunes. I hope you continue to explore the Dan Vasc rabbit hole, and as he says, have an epic day.

I loved the growls and harmonies in this. I've been listening to Dan for only since June. I'm never as happy as when I have Dan in the earbuds 😅

This song was actually my first time hearing Dan. I had seen a guy (forget his name) sing part of the song (not the full song) and decided to look up male covers of it, with mediocre expectations I opened up a few and the first one I listened to was Dan's, I ended up closing the other tabs afterwards, didn't need them.

Loving your covers of Dan's videos. The one thing thing about Dan's vocals - beyond his incredible range - is the number of people who have listened to the many genres of his videos. Grandmothers listening to metal covers, fans of metal listening to his opera covers - etc etc. Its amazing how many doors to the varying genres he's opened. Really appreciate the positive attitude he projects.

I discovered Dan about a year ago. He is absolutely amazing. He sings everything from metal to opera and even Disney. In my opinion, all of his covers are better than the originals. Dan does all of the singing, music arrangements and mixing himself. He has his band called Fearless, but also brings in other musicians like Victor the guitar nerd. Thank you for your reaction and please check out his playlist, you won’t be disappointed.

Actually, Dan IS fairly well world famous. He's just not published on big record labels, BY HIS OWN CHOICE, because he doesn't like the way they work, and how much they rob from artists, for one thing. Plus they make unwanted changes to tracks and albums. Just ask Amy Lee, who wrote the song that was just reacted to, here. He does everything for his own music, from start to finish. He also has originals (including a full album named "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom") on Spotify, etc. Right now, he's working on a FULL tribute MANOWAR album. Also, he's working on another full ORIGINAL album, AND he's planning a full "metalized" album of traditional hymns, which may have, as the first track, "How Great Thou Art."

Why is Dan Vasc not a household name????

Been following Dan for about a year and he always surprises me!!! Please check him singing beautiful opera in Italian. He sings the difficult Nessun Dorma from Torandot opera. He has classical training and performs this piece amazingly ❤❤❤

I have been following dan vasc for a few months only - So glad I discovered him accidentally - He is amazing- so versatile, he does opera, hymns, acoustic, metal, what else? He has so many expressions - he puts so much emotion into his singing and for us to see. Every time I hear bring me to life I get goose bumps - so glad to hear talented people praising him up - he deserves every bit of it. Tears of the dragon, bye bye beautiful, Gethsamene, son of pain, I see fire, he has so many wonderful cover songs. So glad he is here and sharing with us. Thank you for 'reacting to him! Dan has actually said that charismatic Voices reaction of amazing grace was actually his favourite analysis reaction for the song, his words were something along the lines of "she totally got everything I was trying to do with the song"

The first time was a bit of a "wake up" to me😃 He really made this song his own and I really love it!❤❤ Been watching Dan since April after his "Amazing Grace" and he's just taken over my life😂😂. So glad you enjoyed this and hoping for more Dan reactions, thanku.

I think it was also in April that I discovered Dan Vasc. With his amazing Amazing Grace! I fell in love with a voice (his), and I became a fan! I never was a metal music lover, but I really like Dan's covers! The way he knows his voice and the way he uses it, and the control he has on his breath is absolutely... fantastic!

His covers of Dawn of Victory, the Phantom of the Opera, Amazing Grace, Nessun Dorma, Adeste Fideles, Poker Face, O Holy Night are exceptional melt your face off material too.💜

This is one of my faves of Dan's, his vocal gymnastics are Amazing! First saw his Amazing Grace about 6 mths ago, have been HOOKED on his covers ever since! Metal was always too loud and not, sing with able , for me, but Dan makes All possible! Loved your Reaction, thank you!

Your reaction is awesome! Dan’s execution of this song always blows my mind! I listen to it a number of times as I have gone through his entire playlist at least once, and some songs 10 times. His vocals are tremendous, and his execution of anything that he chooses to do is spectacular, his Halloween gift to us fans left me speechless I couldn’t comment until the next day after watching it 3 to 4 times! The theatrical, vocal and musicality of the song was out to the universe and back! I haven’t heard a bad song yet nor do I think I ever will. His range is fantastic. His persona is magnificent, and he is definitely nice to look at! I was introduced to Dan’s music through Amazing Grace and I have listen to every song and many other videos that he has done so I went down the rabbit hole immediately after hearing Amazing Grace, which was shortly after it came out. His theatricals are absolutely phenomenal. his annunciation is impeccable and it gives us the warmth of wanting to relisten to every song over and over again. In one of his audio videos, he talks about he doesn’t consider it talent. He considers that skill and hard work that he has worked through learning all the different levels that he can sing any song.

I love your reaction. I started listening to Dan the end of May with his "Amazing Grace". "Bring Me To Life" blew my socks off the first time I listened. The way he layers his voice and harmonizes with himself is crazy. Do I like everything he does? - No. I will give anything a listen once. Some of his songs I listen to dozens of times. You should listen to "Burn Butcher Burn" and "Kiss From A Rose". Most of his 80's covers are great - "Sweet Child 'O Mine" and "Faithfully" are two of my favorites. You are really missing out if you don't listen to "Nessun Dorma" or "Music of the Night".

I have been listening to him since May (about 6 months) when Amazing Grace came on my feed. Never liked metal music and would not listen to it until I found Dan's channel - now I have a new respect for it.

I was mesmerized when I heard Dan Vasc sing this song. I came across Dan by fluke, while listening to another vocalist. Since that time, I keep listening to all of his covers....I think his versatility and passion in what he sings is incredible!

Besides, the fact that Dan does not lip-synch, he does not use autotune either. He will re-record and re-record until he gets the song where he feels. It’s perfect. Dan is 100% authentic.

Dan Vasc wakes me up and brings me to life with every song he sings. He’s awesome. Huge Dan fan and I’ve been following him for 1 yr. I was hooked on Dan after hearing him sing Amazing Grace. I love this guy and listen to him all the time. I highly recommend you react to him performing Gethsemane. It will bring you to your knees how dramatic he sings and portrays Jesus. DANTASTIC!!❤❤

Glad you did some digging/research and discovered Dan NEVER lip syncs. Gotta admit your comment in that regard didn't "hurt" me - it was downright offensive!! Since you appreciate his covers you might also want to check out Fearless, Dan's heavy metal band, for new music. A recent post by a sound/recording engineer talking about putting final touches on Fearless recordings suggests there will be a new epic adventure dropping soon. There's no additional info available at present but since Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom has been out since October of 2019 this would make sense. I know I'll be haunting all of Dan's sites for updates!

I took abridge at first, too. But I settled down when I told myself he was asking us viewers if we were lip singing like he (the reactor) was doing. He needed to clarify that part, for sure, though, I agree, and am so greatful he did!

Dan is the most incredible vocalist on KZread. If you think Amazing Grace was good , you need to react to his metal version of O Holy Night. You have never heard this popular Christmas hymn sound like he sings it! Before he released it he said “it will melt your face” and it absolutely does. His whole studio setup has changed and Victor, the guitar nerd, is awesome as well. Dan and Victor are a dynamic duo!!

Great reaction! I heard Amazing Grace many months ago and was absolutely hooked. I wasn’t familiar with Evanescense but when I saw this cover, I listened to their version first and then this one. No contest - Dan’s version is jaw-dropping. The range in this is astounding. Don’t know if you’ve listened to Burn Butcher Burn yet, but it’s my favorite. I can’t quite pinpoint whom but he seems to live the songs he sings.

Thanks for the great reaction. I love this version so much more than the original. I had the same reaction the first time I heard that deep growl. My first thought was that he sounds possessed.

I first started listening to Dan in March 2024. Due to a tragedy in my life I was looking for something to keep me from losing my mind. Enter Dan Vasc and Amazing Grace. The first time I heard this song I was not at all a metal fan. I was blown away. And have been ever since by any cover he does, any genre. I appreciate that you apologized about your first reaction. Dan's followers are very loyal as you saw.

My first reaction was "ouch- thats gotta hurt"! I came across Dan seatching youtube to watch the Disturbed versin of Sounds of Silence, my first thought he was just coyjng Disturbed until i really listened closely and found it to be even better, of course being so easy on the eye didnt hurt.... From Aus. His soprano voice reaches much higher than this song. Good reaction, thank you

I've been listening to and loving Dan Vasc for at least 3 years. I can't even remember the first of his covers I listened to--maybe Mulan. Bring Me to Life is one I listen to every couple of months. I think he sings Journey songs almost as well as Steve Perry, and his cover of Michael Bolton's Go the Distance is beautiful, with a great montage of pictures from Dan's career, beginning as a teenager.

First of all, that was a perfect way to start this reaction by responding to all of us who protested about the Lip Syncing Remark. It is heartwarming to know how much you cared about upsetting us and for me, all is forgiven! I have been following Dan since he released Amazing Grace. I have been a Metal hater always but tuned into his cover out of sheer, morbid curiosity, figuring he would ruin the song and I would have some angry comments for him. I was alone on my couch. I was left with my mouth open in shock over what I heard. I clicked on it again and liked it even more. That was all it took to win me over. I am now a proud lover of Metal Music. Dan is my favorite but whenever he talks about other bands or individuals he admires, I investigate them too! I ALWAYS wondered how I would spend my time during my retirement. Never dreamed I would be rocking out all around the house and in my car to Metal!! Life is a fabulous journey if you open up to new experiences. LOVED your reaction to this. Great, love this song. I’ve been following Danny Boy for about three /four months now, I had a lot of catching up to do, but love all his covers, but this one I thought particularly good, he does nearly every style of music, he sings normally, he sings opera, he screams and growls, which I must admit is my favourite, and then to cap it all he raps as well. Been following Dan for about 10 years. New into my KZread journey since I only watched music vids at that time. I was drawn to the variety of music he sang and his intensity. Interesting fact he was in the Brazilian Army and play with a number of European heavy metal bands if I am not mistaken. And, he has a great sense of humor. I've been absolutely obsessed with Dan's voice for over 3 years. Since he dropped his "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher". I mostly listen to him now and once he covers a song I can't listen to the original anymore. Because his is always better.

We found Mr. Dan July of 2023. A friend who is a Pastor's wife posted his cover of Amazing Grace on her Facebook page, and the rest is history. Great reaction. We never heard if a lot of the songs Dan did till we started exploring KZread. I subscribed to you today

He is just amazing I heard Dan Vasc's music for the first time for abaut 3 months ago, and I was just blown away. The first song I heard with him was amazing grace, and then after that, it was this bring me to life, and I was just totally blown away I literally dropped my jaw and had a ton of goose bumps, since then I have been following him on KZread 😃🥰 Love from Denmark 🇩🇰

First time I heard this I loved it by far his best Cover song, the Original is awesome but so is, this totally awesome cover.

I've been listening to Dan since 9/15/20, when KZread suggested The Sound of Silence.. Been hooked ever since. The first time I heard this? Thought it was okay, but I didn't love it. Now, though, I do absolutely love it!🤘🤘🤘

Believe it or not.. I only heard of him when he popped up with “Amazing Grace”, on YT. I don’t even like metal but once I checked him out.. ♥️🤦🏻‍♀️💯👏🏻 I now listen to a whole playlist devoted to him.. I love his voice but I also love his heart & his humour. He is one of the sweetest guys..& I know he probably wouldn’t really like hearing me say that being all metal & everything .. lol.. but he’s just a cool dude & I love everything about him. How he found his way & learned to do what he loves & to get paid for it. Classy guy.. I love his “Time To Say Goodbye”..& so many of his many titles that I’d have to spend forever trying to speak them all. Loved your reaction tho & subbed today too! 🔥♥️👏🏻

I subscribed to his channel after watching his performance of Amazing Grace about two or three months ago. Since then he has become my very favorite artist. I know whatever song he chooses to perform will be perfect and he has a good time singing it. I was one of his fans that came down on you for your lip syncing comment and unsubscribed. I'm glad you researched Dan's info to correct that statement. Yes, he does sing soprano. His Bohemian Rhapsody is a riot where he shows that skill. I'll re-up my subscription with you to see what else you find on this incredible artist. Timmy Johanssen is right up there as well. Almost . ❤

I was astonished by this video when I first heard it. I didn’t know the Evanescence version so I went back and listened to that, and I was still astonished by Dan. This is a videos that is truly “epic” 😊. I’ve always thought that people who referred to their voices as their instrument were being a bit pretentious, but the word fits Dan.
