Thank you for another lovely reaction to Dan and his guest, Rehn Stillnight, two beautiful voices that when combined produced a lovely song for us to enjoy. So you want to hear Dan sing metal? Well, you've had a touch of that in Amazing Grace and O Holy Night. I would recommend two other songs that he added metal to, I'll Make a Man Out of You, a Disney Mulan cover, and Burn Butcher Burn, a song from the Witcher TV series. You will hear him hit some incredibly high notes and enjoy his amazing versality. I look forward to your reaction to either of these.

So, so lovely. I love Dan in classical mode, and he sings this so beautifully, while staying in character all the way through. Rehn has a lovely voice, and (despite her professional name) is Italian, so the pronunciation is great from them both. I encourage you to try some Dan metal. I was never much into metal until I encountered Dan, and now a whole new world of extraordinary vocalism has opened up. His “metalized” arrangements of songs from The Witcher are all great, and all different. Please try Burn Butcher Burn. In it he employs a number of different voices and styles and techniques, all superlatively.. It’s really a tour-de-force of singing and acting. His version of Seal’s iconic A Kiss from a Rose (the duet version, with Violet Orlandi) is also stunning, and I think you will like Violet. Thanks for your comments. I’m glad you overcame all the hassles and are back!

Dan’s voice elevates any song that he performs and I didn’t listen to metal music before I discovered Dan. I find that his voice is always a pleasure to listen to whatever he sings. This duet with Rhen is so beautiful and I thank you for sharing your thoughts and reactions to Dan’s music. 🎶🎵🩷🎵🎶

Glad to see you again, dear sir. Hope you're doing well. I enjoyed your reaction to Dan & Rehn singing "Time to Say Goodbye." Both have such strong, beautiful voices and did a wonderful job on this lovely song by Bocelli and Brightman. The outro gives a little of Dan's family background, too. I look forward to seeing you discover some of Dan's more metal covers, too. There's a whole lot to choose from and you've heard a little bit of his metal abilities already. Someone has suggested "10 Power Metal Songs in 6 Minutes" with Victor the Guitar Nerd on guitar and that definitely will give a sampling of Dan's metal abilities, plus it's spliced together quite masterfully by Dan. I also recommend Dan and his band Fearless singing "Dawn of Victory" with original Rhapsody lead singer Fabio Lione. It's amazing. Then there's Sabaton's "The Last Stand," which introduced me to the Swedish metal band Sabaton, who are known to take historical events and put them to music. His Dragonforce covers like "The Last Journey Home" are great. He's done some really amazing Iron Maiden covers (The Trooper, Two Minutes to Midnight, Number of the Beast), as well. I had never known that the Number of the Beast was written by a band member after he'd had nightmares following seeing the movie The Omen. I highly recommend his Witcher covers because Dan took simple bard songs played on a lute from the game and the Netflix series and recreated them in metal versions. There are 4 metal (Toss a Coin to Your Witcher, Song of the White Wolf, Burn Butcher Burn, & Priscilla's Song). The last one is also made in traditional style, but sung by a male. Just for fun, throw in Dan's metal covers of Christmas songs Adeste Fideles (O Come All Ye Faithful in Latin) and O Holy Night. All of those are high octane Dan Vasc. Lol. Quite a large number of people who never were fans of metal music have become fans because of Dan's covers. Whatever you decide, I'm here for it. All my best to you.😊

A lady heard them singing this & excitedly told me all about hearing some famous opera dude's family singing in the plazza (Vienna?) & this lady swore up & down that these two were in that family of singers. (Her daughter is an opera singer in Vienna, so, she recognizes voices right away). Then Dan talks about how his own family often sang opera songs together. Twilight zone or what? I love this duet!! So incredibly beautiful together!

One of my favorites from him.

It's hard for me to describe the differences in metal music, because I was never a fan of any kind of metal until I was introduced to "Dan's metal". Dan does multiple styles of metal songs extremely well and I definitely find some of the songs where he goes full-on metal very, very enjoyable, but he also performs a genre called symphonic metal, that has the addition of orchestral instruments throughout the song. And then, there's Dan's way of "metalizing" classic songs that weren't originally written as metal music. I think those are some of my absolute favorites. If you want to hear full-on heavy metal from Dan, try "The Number Of The Beast" which is a Metallica cover. (Just understand that Dan is a Christian and songs like this one that have dark themes, are just about the performances for him.) And if you want symphonic metal, try "Dawn Of Victory" a collaberation with one of Dan's heroes of symphonic metal, Fabio Leone. He is the founder and lead singer of a Brazillian metal band called Rhapsody Of Fire and has been a huge inspiration to Dan. The story behind the collaberation is also quite endearing. But, if you want to hear Dan "metalizing" a classic piece of music that you wouldn't necessarily expect to work, try "I'll Make A Man Out Of You", a song from the Disney Movie "Mulan". It's not all metal, but it's not all Disney, either. (**Spoiler alert!! He has a bit of help from some other great KZread musical/cover artists in this one!!) There are many, many more examples of each genre and style in Dan's very extensive catalog, but those were just a few that I thought would be good to recommend.
