Yes. I reacted much the same as you. I wasn't going to listen to it at all. I've heard A.G. so many times and metal? No way. But God said go back so I said OK but only for 15 seconds. HA! I was so moved as you were. I've been a Dan Fan ever since. Almost a year now. He has so many great covers and I especially enjoy his Christian ones; Angels We Have Heard on High, Adeste Fideli, Gethsemani, For All. Enjoy them all. I will sub for anything Dan!

Laura, you had MY same introduction to Dan. I have never liked Metal and thought it was just noise. I was mad when I saw "Metal Singer Sings Amazing Grace." Watched it with the intention of giving it a really bad review. I was left with my mouth hanging open and I have been on a mission to listen to everything he sings ever since. Isn't it wonderful that we can watch him whenever we want??? Makes new technology a really great idea although I do hate it a lot of the time.😄Happy Easter! 🐰🐣🐦❣

Of all of the reactions I have seen (and, believe me, I've seen many!), yours was the one I truly enjoyed the most. Others will pick apart the technical aspects of Dan's rendition, but you listened with your heart. Very good....... if someone is NOT moved by this cover, they don't have a soul. So many different plateaus expressed and he treats this hymn with the respect it deserves, while making it his own.
