Vietnam-era Vet Speaks Out

I do music reactions and daily news items. If you request a song, it will probably take more than four months before I can react to it. Please be patient. There are almost 800 requests ahead of yours.

I'm a 76-year-old veteran of the Vietnam War era. I love my country and worry that we're losing it. I don't need money, so I don't monetize my channel.

You're welcome to comment, and I have no problem with you disagreeing with me, but I will not tolerate foul language, personal attacks, or false claims. I also do not allow discussions (or even mention of) autotune or pitch correction. If you do any of that, I will delete your comment. Persist, and you will be banned.

I see you there Sir... ;) Trying to convert us, while we try to convert you? I see what you did there... Well played good sir... well played ;) lmao... In all seriousness however, ... Even if you don't end up enjoying BabyMetal as much as ourselves, All of us BabyMetal fans which luckily stumbled across your channel truly do enjoy our time here with you. You sir, are a very genuine soul. On the other hand, a lot of Reaction channels are very over the top and thus, "act" up instead of being genuine with their reaction to things. ...And while this can certainly be entertaining sometimes, it does drive a wedge between the content creator and their audience because that feigned, 'over the top' reaction was purchased in full by giving up their true, genuine reaction. The secret sauce so to speak, for reaction channels is a kind, amiable attitude, and genuine reaction. Its the foundation that most successful reaction channels are built upon. A friend of mine also found your channel and agreed with my opinion... Which is that the majority of us BabyMetal fans have found your channel very respectful and calming. The world, especially these last few years, has been a very lonely place, and vicariously enjoying something we love along with a kind soul like yourself has helped make our days a bit easier. It may only be a few moments for yourself, but to many of us who work from home, or likewise are struggling with depression, loneliness, anxiety etc, (Or all of the above at the same time) You really do make a difference :) I mean, hey lol. I find myself looking forward to your next reaction video already, haha :) I think you'll find this is common sentiment among fans of the band. The positive message BabyMetal couches within their songs is a big reason we all gravitated towards them. For example... There's a song called Karate, and some of the lyrics translate as follows. (Roughly mind you, my Japanese is very rusty lol) ><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+- Even if tears spill from our eyes Let's confront it! Single-mindedly, let's fight on More with our fists, more with our spirits Refining it all Even if my tears fall, I 'll keep on fighting Fight more with my fists More of my heart Sharpen everything I'll still fight, Even if I 'm so sad that I can't stand up anymore ><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+-><-+- Many of their songs are like this. A message of hope sung by a smiling face :) which so many of us sorely need. Anyways! lol... I don't want to take up more of your time. This comment seems to be quickly approaching the submission standards for a Novella at a breakneck pace XD. Sending love and Well Wishes your way!

Volim vaše pažljive i skoncentrisane reakcije.

Dimash also sang this song in Japanese for the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021. Only then the song's name was Ikanaide (E can nigh deh). Here is the link to that version. P.S. When you listen to the version below, watch and listen to the end. The finish of this version, to me, is as beautiful a sound as any he has made. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqGBj8SpZbOoY5c.html Dimash 'Ikanaide' ('Autumn Strong').

I absolutely love these three talented sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. They have been around more than a decade and are the real deal. I hope you react to more of their fascinating music. They are best seen live IMHO. Try any songs from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert or their performance of "Evolve" at the MTV VMAs in 2023. These are all available here on YT.

First things first, sir. Thank you for your service. Second, great reaction! Third, if you get a chance, watch their entire TedX show where this performance is from. The music is awesome, of course. The treasure is found in their presentation. I think you would LOVE what they have to say. It'll take you back to your youth, as it did with me. They are special artists, and even more so, special people. Wise well beyond their years, incredibly humble, and exceptionally talented. I'm subbing, my new friend, with hopes I get to watch you watching more of The Warning.

Thank you for playing (and thus introducing me) to the artist Jeff Satur! His music is very beautiful and unique...I'm patting myself on the back that I introduced you to Gregory Lemarchal and AnnenMayKantereit, and Deyaz lol, and now, you've got me exploring an artist I'd never heard of before! Your channel is a wonderful two-way street! (PS... One thing I'm learning ((I'm an old!! guy, so takes me a while!)) is not just to name a song of an artist I request you to listen to, but to specify which actual performance also. Personally, I prefer and will try to request from now on the video performances where one can see the artist sing and perform a song, rather than just a static lyric video, unless that's all there is of a particular song...e.g... I put down on your request list that you please do Gregory Lemarchal's ...Et Maintenant...again, but the actual video of his performing it, to watch his face and body movements during his performance. I read up that that song is about people losing someone important to them in their lives (due to death), which makes the song even more powerful.)

"Pau is other-worldly talent." Indeed Sir, she is that, and Ale and Dany each have a wealth of uniquely-theirs talent. Over ten years of hard work honing their craft in their "Warning Cave" basement practice room, and playing hundreds of gigs, large and small, is rewarding them with the recognition they deserve.

You should see them now all grown up, after 11 year career, when they started at the ages af 9, 12 and 14 with the Metallica cover Enter Sandman, that went viral in 2014 that started their career in music, now with their 4th album coming out, they just are a season polish rock band, and often called the savior of rock and roll, great reaction, and you be going into a warning rabbit hole, when the warning Army invade your channel, YOU BEEN WARN 😊

If you were to go watch some of their very early videos when they were just starting out, you would know that these Mexican sisters were not yet little bilingual Catholic school girls when they first got into music at summer camps. Mom's a dentist. Dad's an engineer. He used to run a recording studio. They grew up listening to their parents' rock favorites and watching concerts on TV. The kids all learned classical piano first, then discovered Rock Band, the video game. Suddenly, they were choosing instruments. Dany started guitar lessons at eight. Pau started drum lessons at six. Ale started bass at seven, a few years later, as she's the youngest. Their first two albums were crowd funded and independently produced! Before watching any more of their music, I'd suggest you watch ALL of their two TEDx Talks on the University of Nevada channel, from way back in 2016 and 2017. Perhaps also watch The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters [TIDAL Rising Documentary] on the TIDAL channel. Maybe watch Mayday in the Making, parts 1-6. As much as you like it now, if you know who they are, and where they come from, their music will make a lot more sense. These ladies are now 19, 22, and 24, and just finished a sold out tour, 19 dates in Europe and the UK. They're headed to Japan, Canada, the USA, Europe, and other places this year. They already sold out a 10,000 seat arena in Mexico City for next February, and added another date there, due to demand. Their fourth album drops in late June. They are the real deal. They were a great cover band as LITTLE KIDS. But they don't need to do covers anymore. They are as good or better than the bands they covered! And in most cases, they are more fun to watch. Their superpowers are LIVE performance, music COMPOSITIONAL skills, LYRICAL depth, STAGE presence and charisma, and personal integrity. This is an excerpt from the 2017 TEDx Talk. It is a near-universal gateway drug to The Warning rabbit hole...

Dimash is a world-class baritone...tenor....countertenor...and soprano. He's Dimash. To me, these two look like the enchanted bride and groom topping a fairytale wedding cake. I much prefer the Russian aesthetic in stage design (grand and cinematic) to the Chinese stage design of more is more. It's awesome that Dimash is given the best stages in both countries.

Her voice is piercing, sharp and strong. That's how she is able to cut through the heavy music and not get drowned out. That was one of the key factors the producer realized when he first heard her when she was 11 years old at the final concert for the jpop idol group she was in called Karen Girls. She has been performing for most of her life so far (she is 26 right now). You made a good analysis and you are correct. Well done.
