I’m glad you liked this - and it’s a very faithful rendition! Dan is classically trained and sings this sort of thing beautifully. If you’ve ever been in a choir (or even if you haven’t), it’s a good time of year to check out Dan’s “one-man choir” version of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. Another gorgeous Dan Vasc interpretation! Ren was lovely with a beautiful voice, too. Dan, as usual, compliments his duet partner by letting her shine ... not a dis on Ren (I'm sure she can shake rafters with her operatic singing too), it's just that Dan always seems to hold back just a tiny bit in his duets ... acts deferential so as not to drown out or overwhelm. It just seems that way to me, because we all know the power Dan can bring to a song. 😅

Can never go wrong with Dan Vasc.. thank you for reacting to his videos.. don't skip them because Dan always adds a little something different. This was played at my older Sisters funeral... a beautiful song, but it is about a sailor and his wife saying goodbye before he sails.. not about death at all...
