It really is. Listen to what the guy said even in the beginning. His whole argument revolved around standing up for women. Spitting on my gf is one thing, but im supposed to get killed, or goto jail over a woman just because a guy complimented her ass?? Do women raise women to stand up for your man at that level?? Nope. Its sad that men are the ones pushing this. A man to me is someone who leads, and that doesnt include catering to a female, and making sure she has a carefree life free from name calling or work. Waiting on a woman hand and foot gets you praise in this society, standing your ground with a women is looked down upon. Being a man is standing up to whats wrong even if you have to face adcersity and hate, maybe even violence. Theres nothing admirable, or manly about opening a door. I use my smartphone to watch videos like this, pay my bills , set up appointments, reminders, invest on digital assets and stocks, transfer money between bank accounts, get directions , monitor my security cameras, contact people. I don't use it for social media i don't have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc Smartphones are very useful if you use it for more then just social media and to watch tik tok

Imagine standing up for what you believe, showing your kids what a male role model of integrity can look like AND being able to hug, kiss and be emotionally available.

This entire interview was 100% absolutely unadulterated inspiration, hope for humanity, refreshing, spot on, not 1 second of my time listening was wasted, and enjoyable!

My stepdad was a tyrant at home but when bill collectors came he hid in the back and told me to say he wasn't home. That affected me.

Great job Dan Pena is THE TRUTH I have been following this man for like 10 years. Pick up his 3 day seminar which is an old course but based off his QLA Castle Seminar and it will change your life.

This guy is the man. However, the concerning part is the statement on how showing affection to your kids is “beta” because their fathers didn’t show them any. My father was nearly identical to his, however, he also showed he loved my siblings like any good parent should. You can have respect and succeed without your parents being complete fucks.

Beating kids isn't the same as disciplining them. The "hit em with a wooden spoon" quote was just cringe. As someone who WAS hit with a wooden spoon, I can say this isn't helping the kids develop discipline. It's just giving loser parents an excuse to take out their anger on a defenseless child. it's really pretty basic stuff. children who are spoiled tend to have psychological and social problems. boys with these problems general use violence as a tool. this violence will often end them up in prison or an early grave, either of which will ruin his life. girls with the same issues, use deception and manipulation as tools. while these tools can sometimes backfire, most often they harm the people that it is directed at. these are strange days indeed when people can't understand the most basic differences in males and females.

The law of averages and the discipline to work, which was instilled in me from my child hood. My father had us working on houses and apartments, knocking down walls, fixing roofs, etc.

Do not withhold discipline from your child for if you beat them with a rod they shall not die!!

Having emotional awareness within oneself to know the discipline being dealt isn’t composed of ego/unchecked anger/sheer frustration/etc. The point of discipline is to modify wrong behavior by specifically highlighting to a child their error... What worries me from my experience is that many people appear to lack self-awareness. I question how that manifests itself when it comes to discipline.

Beatings only send the message that violence and intimidation obtain compliance. And this that message is quite true, but do we really want to teach children that this is the way? Sounds to me like a sure way to create bullies and wife beaters. I agree with you, albeit reluctantly because kids to need hard discipline sometimes....and frankly, so do some adults.

I’m probably a rarity as a female in this comment t section, but man do I love Dan Peña. We need more men like him in the world. My dad came close, I hated him when I was younger, now as I’m older, I not only understand it, I respect it. Peña brought me to this notion of tough love, and only several years later I discovered Jesse.. It was Peña who opened my heart to eventually forgiving my father. It’s so beautiful to see two real men talk; the selfish part of me wishes I could see Dan on a panel with Jesse so he could see how utterly savage he is. You know Jesse is just like Dan except he’s like Jesus, he never loses his cool.

True men stand up. For the right things.

Such a great interview!! Great material. Memorable! Thank you two gentlemen. Wish you all prosperity. And of course, it's ok to be a man.
