Looking like a pirate sounding like treasure. Gotta love Damien

A lot of people are commenting on his more rugged appearance, but I honestly appreciate it. It’s sort of like a big fu to the music industry’s increasingly high standards of appearance in today’s artists. He looks like how his music sounds, a little scruffy but so full of pent up emotion that it just has to spill out.

One of the best songwriter ever!

I watched him live on 2006, for me personally, the ticket price was expensive, but never regret it. I tell you, he's not only a singer, he's an artist!

When you sing a song with your eyes closed, that's when it really means something to you

His voice is better now than when he recorded this originally. Just beautiful. What a legend.

It’s in a different key than the original recording, could be a factor why you prefer it (3 halfsteps lower, so a more powerful voice register for Damien).

Some say he is contrived and indeed he is, and they're missing the point. The job of the artist IS to contrive things: themselves, and their creations. Whether that be his choice of brown clothing to conjure as sense of earthiness, the brown guitar, the scraggly loose hair, or the brown shoes; or the lyrics, the way he conjures up images in your mind and emotions in your heart, it is all, indeed, contrived. Because he is creating a vessle for us to project our ideas of what an artist is onto, and thus allows us to "buy in" to the moment he is creating for us. And so, at leats for a little while, we are transported to the world we wish to escape to. Merci, Damien.

@@darbybluish to be fair he does look a bit like a homeless person now. I know hes not cause of royalties and albums sales and shit but he has been looking a lot scruffier in the past few years. He's an Extreamly talented Singer-songwriter but his appearence does look a bit worrying
