Da Vinci Duo Calibration Failure

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Are you having issues with your XYZprinting Da Vinci 2.0 Duo 3D Printer calibrating or that first layer sticking? Is your calibration failing and you don't know what to do? Well that was me and in this video, I will walk you though how I fixed this issue and you can too! As poor calibration can lead to sticking problems with that first layer of plastic and a good calibration can help correct that issue. However some of things on the XYZprinting Da Vinci 2.0 Duo 3D Printer are not that clear so more info also go to www.DIY3DTech.com

Excellent video, it's much easier to work these things out if they are explained in a video. So thank you for helping demystify these things for everyone else!

Excellent video. I just want to add a few further explanations in case anyone else is as new as me to these things: If you get ERR ERR ERR, it means that at least one of your contact points is not connecting during the test. There is a little metal nub beside the right-hand print nozzle - this nub must touch the metal corners of the base plate during calibrating, or it will fail. If you watch the calibration, you can probably see which point it fails on. Or, it might just be really dirty (or the metal plates are dirty). And finally, take a close look at the screws you are turning. All three screws are the same shape and style. I say this because there are 2 screws right at the front of the plate in plain sight, but THESE ARE NOT THE SCREWS THAT ADJUST THE CALIBRATION. It only took me 30+ tries, and hours of staring at my data without seeing any pattern whatsoever before I thought to look harder to see if there were other screws. There are. There are two other screws on the bottom of the plate that resemble the screw near the middle-back of the plate that he points out in the video. Don't be like me. Turn the right screws. :) It calibrated pretty quickly after that (only 8 tries).

Thanks for the video. I am going to use this information when I unbox my davinc 2.0. I have one important question. Are you using xyz software to calibrate, or have you flashed to repeater. I want to flash my 2.0 to repeater as it release the davinci from the proprietary filament cartridges and gives you more control over your 3d printer. Also does the repeater instructions apply to the 2.0 as the 1.0 versions.

I have a tendency to do that. If I subscribe to your channel will the new video automatically come up or how do I access it. I don't fully understand the subscribing to channel things. Thanks for replying.

Thanks for the Video. It holped me a lot. I tried a few different approaches, but I found that the one that worked best for me, was to level the two outer points to each other first (numbers 2 and 3, thumbscrew A and B), and then adjust the center screw. The center screw seems to tilt the heatbed on the center axis, so that when it lowers number 3, it also raises numbers 1 and 2. Does that make sense?

Sort of, as the bed was designed to work with the auto level function of the firmware so the side screws are for tilt and the center for pitch...
