Her voice! She's not nearly mentioned enough as having one of the best voices in music
I brought the cassette tape at Soundwaves in Houston in the early Spring of 1983. I brought my first Walkman, too. I listened to it on replay over & over. It got me through a drug rehab halfway house. I remember my drug counselor found me singing my lungs out during free time. She said it was the first time she saw me genuinely happy. I told her, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!! She brought the tape too...😁

I remember the day this aired like it was yesterday. I was already a 14 year old in love, and this completely solidified that.

This had always been my truly absolute favorite song that she had ever did during her career with being in her age catagory and twice living in similar old mid west and southern town very similar to the one in her original video. The 80s to me was the very best years that anyone could of been raised in and highlight years of her career! She made it just that much better.

One of my favorite songs 🎵 ❤️ and "I drove all night" is heart felt and her vocal chords from acapella to her bravado is sensual and touching on many levels. I can relate or rather we as her fans can identify with the lyrics on some level of emotion that is brought out. For me this is a song that reminds me of my aunt who passed away 😢 way to soon, and she loved this ❤️ beautiful melody for a great man she was supposed to marry. Aunt Kate this one's for you. I miss 😢 and love you so much. Your 3 boys are tall handsome men now..this melody has been played at their weddings. Cyndi , your songs 🎵 🎶 will live on for eternity. Thank you for the wonderful memories you've left us all by your angelic voice.
