This is my bestfriend's favorite song.. she died from leukemia.. this is the last song that we sang together.. she was not able to complete it until the last part coz she left me before she reached the part " i will be waiting".. i miss my pudding.. i miss you so much my sissy..

I was at a base in Korea in 1984. We had a Portland, OR group come through. The lead singer was female and they played this song. I was singing along with this song and the singer noticed and we ended up singing to each other through the song. After it was over I approached her and asked "what just happened". She said that she looked for people in the crowd who were receptive and latched on to them. She saw me singing and sang with me. I will never forget that night. Best duet I ever sang with anyone.

Thank you Cyndi..this song means a lot to me. It popped up so I know it was meant to be heard today. I loved this song when it came our.. I was a teenager. Life went on then stopped me in my tracks in 2005..I lost my beloved Dad by suicide. This song kept coming on and I knew it was a message from him. Music transcends time. Everything I hear this song I know he is telling me he is always with me. Hearing it today brings much needed comfort.. Wishing all a Merry Christmas and Very Happy 2023! Love &Light ❤️

Saw Cyndi when I was early 20's and after 30 years she gets better and is always angelic in her voice... Live long Cyndi.

I love Cyndi more than any other singer. Since I was young she has inspired my own singing and her individuality paved the light for my own uniqueness.

What a great performance for a legend...still love her voice until now 2018

In my younger years I never paid that much attention to her songs. The older I got and listened to this video as she got older as well. I realized what an awesome singer and talent she has become. This song she sang with this guitar player and her playing lap steel guitar is so beautiful hits me right down to the soul of my heart and probably many others, she is quite an artist that grew on me overtime.

I really think the most underrated talent ever! I’ve always loved Cyndi Lauper. This day I still do. I just think her talent was not as recognized as it should be. I mean she was totally recognized and totally famous but I think her talent trumps all that. Her music truly never gets old.

It is an Appalachian Dulcimer. One of the few stringed instruments of the US. It is also diatonic instead of chromatic. The one she is playing here was made in Arkansas.
