Just the crew. From 200 feet to 50 is a major jump and running around with crash bags when they should have already been there. And it all boils down to the captain in the end. Lead those troops or wreck your boat.

Personally, I would've used a spring line from the bow to the dock and pivoted on that, then spun the other way so you don't get near Bill's boat, but of course I wasn't there, so what do I know...

That is exactly what I was thinking. Find some way to keep the bow at the dock and just pivot around. Probably easier said than done but I imagine these boats could do it

With the wind pushing him back toward the dock it's much easier to back out like he did. If he tried to go forward he would have just slammed into the dock with the stern. He should have gotten a bit more angle and come more straight out from the dock tho so he would have had plenty of room to miss the other boat

Why would you not pull forward where you can see, do a 180 and then pull forward again? This was so confusing. Feel like the producers told him to do this on purpose. Makes no sense.

This is nothing. I saw a vessel side hull tore open due to lost of second anchor during bad weather. The tore around 3 meter from sea level
