Cutting up the Sideskirts - Sky-gea build: Part 11
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video we'll be extending the factory sideskirts and working on a plug to help tie the new front end in with the rest of the car.
As with the fenders, these sideskirts will be temporary plugs until I make the final moulds off them once the conversion is finished.

That 18min felt like 5 min max. When you watching you get sucked in the footage and bam, o no don't want to see more 😂. The sneak for molding the side skirts good thumbnail.
It is not ONLY craftsmanship, the editing is also very entertaining. Please add more rivet nut work!! 😂 I am always looking forward to new videos. Great videos !!!
ahh, what a way to wake up. Best content on the internet. Love the channel very much!
As he works his way to the Stagea"s "infamous" rear end😬Another Great Episode👍

We don't talk about that here hahah. Only look at it from the front 🤣
Love a car content where they just go 2 work and don't talk, so ASMR like music to my heart, mind & soul
That’s some craftsmanship and some real dope work. I love watching the process…
Mr. Tofu, thank you for sharing you technique on how you get the jobs done. Thank you
Just like alwayss i really wanted to watch you every upload even your old video .. greetings from 🇵🇭 phillipines ♥️♥️
Every problem/challenge has a solution! Thx for the upload Tofu!
Brotha , much respect ✊🏼from Texas USA . Really enjoy watchin your work
Love how the car is coming together.
You are one of my favorite channels. I've done enough plastics and FRP work in my life to almost get FRP itch just watching. Great stuff, I love long roofs, thank you!
You are perfect doctor of cars❤❤❤❤
Another riveting installment!

Stop it haha
its amazing how much more complete it looks with the correct size skirts
Definitely feel like you could benefit from an air powered body saw, you'll get much cleaner, and thinner lines. They're also waay easier to control, look into it! Great work, btw.
So cool to see the process and the progression of your project! 😎
So happy to follow your journey, as im about to do some work on my car this summer. really enjoy watching this
Love it! Just a couple of ordinary tools and a dream! “The man with the plan” keep them coming 😊
I see Aeromagic drills holes in the plastic om both sides for the resin to soak into, making it bond better. Just a tip 😊

Thanks! I've used that trick in the past to help bond metal brackets when making fiberglass bonnets. It definitely helps with the grab but also increases how much tidy up work you'll need to do on the other side. For these sideskirts you may have been able to tell but I wasn't massively fussed with longevity haha 😆 In the sneak peak at the end you'll spot that these plastic ones are already in the bin and have been replaced with fiberglass.
Thank you for the content and showing everything, I have learned a lot from your videos. Your videos also help me gain motivation to work on my own car further
Orsome work, great figuring out on the fly, much appreciate your videos
I've watched a lot of diy videos but this guy is on the road to a million followers. Keep this up the video editing is on point and entertaining!!!
Such a cool project!
I'm always liking before watching!!
Amazing work
Again a highly interesting video! Car bumpers and side skirts are made of polypropylene these days, a notoriously difficult material to glue (or paint) on. Also since glass or carbon fiber is *much* stiffer than PP, they tend to separate even more readily. There are polypropylene fibers (Innegra is one) that would make much more durable fiber reinforcement patches.
Another good one. Can’t wait for the next one. The fiberglass patching on the bumper at the end. Fiberglass resin (polyester & epoxy) doesn’t stick to plastics. At least it won’t hold up long term.
Wow seen where you posted this on reddit a few days ago, and now boom in my feed! Pretty cool build! I enjoyed the video!
Good job mate 👍👍👍
Thats such a cool project 👌
Man it’s looking good!
Cant wait to see the final result 👍
Tofu - ты настоящий художник! Продолжай в этом направлении! Удачи тебе!
Luxus look 👍🛠️
Love the rivot edit 💯💯
С таким подходом, этот боди кит можно будет продавать в промышленном масштабе:) класс
I was watching a Donut Media video and they referenced a clip of yours. So here I am, subscribed. I like your stuff.
You are amazing sir💪🏼💪🏼
Мужик ты крут, учитываешь даже толщину диска для ушм. Ты силен смотрю в этом, так держать. 👍
So maybe a new level floor on one side of the shop for future measuring. Like self leveling concrete. Keep up the great work
Sorry I'm late to such great content 🤘🏻

Love this Wagon build every video really excites me ..Need some rear valence or rear chin spoiler though.
I found this episode riveting.
eres un maestro 🎉🎉🎉unos excelentes trabajos
Que gran trabajo de detalle. Saludos desde LIMA - PERÚ. Pdta: Siempre espero ver sus videos. 👍
this is a cool idea, the work put in is impressive. Its just so hard to pretend that rear end matches in anyway.
subscribed! Amazing work!
I feel like a bag over coil set up would be awesome for this once youve got the body work done, to really sit it down when you park up but not destroy it while you cruise
こういう作業してるのを観てるのが好き
I have got to say...what u've done for this car and doing is priceless. I don't think this could be sold for a fair amount...unless zeros look reoccurring
Awesome!
10:16 We are waiting a bitbox music track with your work sounds :D
🇯🇵good job👍
スゴイ!完成が見えてきた!!
日本から 完成楽しみにしてます!。
いつも楽しい動画をThank You!
in the place of the expansion of the threshold, you can introduce a backlight, no one has done this for sure
very nice! 10:17
Really enjoying your content mate 👍 so much work but the end results will be awesome. Any ideas on what the final colour will be, keeping the silver? I reckon it'd looks awesome in a really deep red.
Shoot rivets on non-reinforced side and you have to drill the rivet head out only. Way cleaner and faster style.
Just seen a uk car meet video with a stagea with a 35 front end on 😊
I'm sorry but it did me the production GT-R wagon I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat that's just an awesome looking custom body kit modification
🇳🇴another great video👍🏻
Super 👍 😊
Somehow you heard me complaining about not using epoxy & glass cloth in the middle, lol. Ester resin seems to have worked fine though!
Mantap bang
Great work as always. How did you know that extending the skirts on the body line would visually work out?
Its a shame more people didnt get the gtr wagon as it looks really cool
Привет с Владивостока ✋
I think my favorite part about this is that you can probably use aftermarket or later generation bumpers and hoods no problem (not that you couldn't just make your own).

This was actually one of the big considerations I put in when designing this kit. I'll be selling these conversion kits when I'm done and so I liked the idea of people being able to pick their own bumper and bonnet to help make each build a little more unique.
Intresting.. wondering how it'll look if you kept the side skirts as is after riveting that plastic piece behind and run some led lights underneath? 😄
There's a reasonably cheap set of r35 wheels on Trademe ATM! Keep up the mahi bro!💪

Cheers bro! I've got some wheels sorted for this already, going to be unveiling them in the next video. Just test fitted them last night and I'm stoked!
As usual top craftmanship! Do you plan on changing the diameter of the rear wheel arch so it matches the GTR front?
@TofuAutoWorks
Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Yup absolutely, once I start working on the widebody I'll be able to make sure the arch gaps and diameters are identical. I'll be revealing the new wheels and showing the final car width in the next episode!

@@TofuAutoWorks The one design feature I really like from the GTR rear arches is the radius and the sharp corners which end on the way back towards the wheel.
I can't wait until the next video 😰😰😰
Hey tofu I was wondering what are you going to do with the fiberglass piece/strip in the side skirt wouldn't it be cool if you put some LEDs behind it so it lights up a logo or the whole strip also I love this build and greetings from the Netherlands
Good work mate. Do you have any plans for the rear end?
Wenn dieses Auto mal fertig ist.... Wow
Круто получается 👍
Yes sirrr
that looks really really good will the rear bumper also be adapted to the R35 look?
Um marea japonês!!!!
Are you gong to graft the rear bumper as well? It would also be neat to see you somehow incorporate the Skyline tail lights into the taller wagon tail lights
Did you see that, you were mentioned in the last Donut media video? Awsome work btw
❤
ура я так этого ждал
Sooo next you get a rb26? Jk man the work is incredible!
Are you also going to do the rear bumper and quad exhaust from the GTR ?
Do the gtr back bumper also but to fit your stock exhaust
Прикольная стейджиа)))
so beautiful
Are you going to d the back bumper too?
if you dont mind me asking what is the fiberglass slurry made of that you use before putting on the matt material?
