Cutting The Line - Gear Breakdown Ep2
Behind the scenes at Ocean Conservation Namibia! 🦭
Chapters:

Our nets have been a game-changer to the way we rescue seals, the number of seals we are able to rescue, and also the safety of the team. We are asked a lot of questions about this rescue tool and we're sure this Gear Breakdown video will shed some light on how our net designs and rescue strategies have evolved.

The net that keeps on giving. Rescuing 600 seals and now even more! Thank you for all your hard work, dedication and compassion and more. This brings tears of joy to my eyes and warms my heart. Peace and love to everyone! From the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.❤❤❤
I love that the construction and maintenance of these nets is supporting local businesses! It's great to see the old broken net being put to use as well rather than becoming trash. So much thought goes into everything you do!
I love the slow motion with the 4 of you running to the rescue. You're just missing your heroes' capes.❤ Love you all.

But no! The capes are disguised as nets!
I don't know where the seals would be without these nets ... and the loving hands that deploy them.
Can't get enough of OCN! Watched Cutting the Line 3 times, got a shirt. Share your rescue videos every day. Stay well and thank you for saving these beautiful animals.
Followed this channel during the start of COVID and I am glad that you guys are gaining so much recognition for what you are going and continue to spread to others in this world. Many thanks for educating the netizens and giving the future generations hope.
I loved this! It was positive, informative & beautiful to watch. ❣ Denzel is the Flash & Tony is the Splash! Thank you all❤🩹

Good one.😂
I know it breaks your heart to have to cut apart a net, and at the same time it rescued so many precious beings who are thriving today. Using that net to repair others keeps the team moving forward with their rescues and taking care of Gods beloved creatures. You guys are awesome.
The parts about catching by hand and the old net with 600+ rescues made me emotional. These guys work so hard and they started with almost nothing. Great editing and music and spotlighting the local tailor as well, I should see the full film!

So you've got the Flash and the Aquaman... Certified team of superheroes!
This was an absolutely wonderful view of behind the scenes of the rescues of OCN. I must admit that I cringe/laugh when a net gets wet, while imagining the conversation AFTER the Go-Pro is turned off 😅
I love how Naude said about the old net "that it's a gift that keeps giving". That is so true the net is still helping you helping the seals. Thank you for sharing behind the sences with us.
Oh... the orange net!!! ❤❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
The seals may not like the frequent chasing and capturing by those nets, the brief confinement, and pain. The seals will never understand why they are caught, until they find they can breath, heal and catch fish...and go "oh, that's why we get caught". Love this little vinyet, so informative, providing details of behind the scenes. Such a cohesive and amazing team. You literally "breath" life into these beautiful mammals. Heroes. ❤
You all are Angels watching over and caring for the seals. True inspirations with gigantic hearts & amazing souls. Sending Much Love, Warm Wishes and Beautiful Blessings to you all!!
OCN you all are Awesome 🙌 Thank you saving all of these beautiful animals. Thank you to NOAA and Leatherman 🇺🇸

The giant orange cone was a gift from NOAA? I didn't know that! 💗💗 (Before the weather channel, we had a little cube-shaped NOAA radio that would broadcast local weather 24/7) Shout out to Immanuel the tailor for his fine work 💪 It looks like custom-ordered thread, and I was surprised to see him using a machine. It must have been a ball-point needle. If I'm ever in Namibia, I'll look you up, sir! (And ask you a million annoying questions)😁😁 Thank you to team OCN for this video!
I love to watch them after they're released. They're so clumsy on land and then they just glide so smoothly into the water. It's wonderful.
Always enjoy seeing humans being good for animals of any sort💜💜💜💜
I wish I was rich to give you All the nets you could ever need! This film was beautiful and to see All the people that band together To alleviate the suffering of these animals Was so uplifting. Thank you team and all who contribute.
I love seeing you guys out there fighting for the seals lives. Keep up the fantastic work.

To say you are doing the Lord's work is a terrible understatement.
I never realized NOAA sent you guys your first net. So glad to see our tax money go to something good! Good job NOAA.
OCN’s first net needs to be a museum piece. You guys rock!
It’s nice to see that u are becoming well known for the great job u do when I hear u being talked about on social media ✌️❤️🍀& much respect 👍🇬🇧
The shot from 5:09-5:10 would be a great thumbnail for a video. The masterclasses that you teach are incredible. Thank you.
That was really a great piece! Thank you! Now I need to go watch the other "Cutting The Line" videos. With a bit more personality to watch your rescue videos ... really, I can't quite find the words. ❣ Oh yeah, that is a massive number of seals! The drone shots, wow! And the location shots! Wow.

It’s hard to say it, but you guys are actually beautiful in your manliness in doing your jobs.
At the 7:02 mark, I was so impressed with the seamster that took care of your nets and repaired them!!! That must be hard work, and yet, he makes it look so easy. Just giving a shout-out to the man.I am NOT trying to disrespect your heroic efforts. Just happy you can still work your magic on these beautiful creatures!! Love your work!!!

Great to see behind the scenes again. I was in Walvis Bay a month ago, round Pelican Point watching the seals. Amazing creatures, had 2 up on the Cat for their freebies. With that number of seals, you certainly have your work cut out. The Cat crew certainly promote your work, and the channel. Keep up the good work, and we will will keep supporting you.

I Love these behind the scenes episodes. You all are so amazing...the work you do...the love you have for, and show the seals...the awareness you bring to the rest of the world. My deepest regards to each and every one of your team...even the kids 😊❤❤❤

This video makes we want to watch Cutting the Line again!😉 I think you said the big net weighs 11kg dry, but do you know how much when wet? It only seems fair that Aquaman carries the wet net since chances are he will just get the next dry one wet, too.😅 I enjoy seeing all the background info. Love OCN!❤

We are no heroes, we are unfortunately only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. The goal of these videos is to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

The first of the nets lives on. I remember when you first started using it and how it was cut to save the very large bull.
Sensacional. Quando comecei assistir os episódios , o resgate ainda era com as redes cor de laranja. Gosto muito do trabalho de vcs. Desejo muito sucesso à todos os envolvidos. Abraços. 😊. Parabéns.
love this new channel. Learn more and more. Thanks for sharing your much needed work with the seals!
You guys are soo cool! God bless for rescuing Seals.❤❤❤🎉
How well I remember that orange net, getting more raggedy everyday. I also remember Naude's bright blue jacket he was wearing when he got a horrible bite, these items should be in the hall of fame:)
