CUTTING EDGE C10: Mid-Engine LS-3 1972 Chevy Truck Inspired By Group 5 Vintage Racing | EP23
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
They said he was nuts to imagine a C10 styled after a Porsche 917. Cameron Bishop's front mid-engine 1972 Chevy C10, inspired after Group 5 racing and the iconic Porsche 917 with its unmistakable long tail, is a daringly different truck with its aerodynamic rear wing. Could he build a modern, technologically-advanced C10 race truck that still maintains the spirit of GM engineers in the 1970s? Powered by a dry sump Corvette C6 Z06 LS3 pushed 13.5" into the firewall and 4" behind the front axle, the Cutting Edge C10 is a balanced blend of vintage styling and modern race car technology. Nicole takes Cameron on his first passenger ride in the scenic desert outside Phoenix, Arizona.
MORE ABOUT CAMERON BISHOP: Cameron is the owner of Cutting Edge Hotrods in Phoenix, Arizona and has been building for clients for over a decade. The grandson of the chief Corvette drivetrain engineer from 1952 to 1978, Cameron's love for GM is in his blood.

The Porsche 917 is the most beautiful racecar ever created, in my opinion. I didn't even realize the back end was 917 until he mentioned it. Now I'm infatuated with it. The factory door cards and exterior handles are just the right amount of "remember this is a c10". The more I watch you, NIcole, the better it gets. You are so into these builds, you can see it in your expressions. You're also 100% engaged with the person you are talking to at all times. That is a rare trait.

My first car was a truck, 73 Chevy ½ ton with a 350 under the hood. My second was a 69 Dodge Cornet with a 440 under the hood. Would pass everything but a gas station. My great uncle Tommy bought the car brand new. I drove it in the early 80's I sold it my senior year and bought a 76 Plymouth Van, 360, 4 captain chairs, couch in the back that folded out into a bed. Crush velvet curtains shag carpet floor walls and ceiling. It also had an ice box. Needless to say when me and my friends went anywhere, I drove. That got me hooked on Vans, I'm currently driving a Chevy express 2500 extended Van today. I tow my 30 foot travel trailer with it. Take care and stay safe everyone. From Charlie.

I feel like Nicole should do a asmr auto video. Her voice just has that perfect sound. Especially when she’s whispering

Sir, you did a great job all the way around. It's beautiful inside and out. You paid homage to the truck and the Porsche 917 all in one vehicle. Congrats...

@@cameronbishop117 OMG, you did an awesome job. I would be very proud to drive that truck. Love the looks, stance and sound. Your grandpa would be proud. I don't know you and I'm proud of you. Keep up the good work and God bless brother.

Just dope. I love the under-mounted dining-room-table wing and the functional hot air outlets. This is a terrific design, and GM should be pissed that they missed this 70’s opportunity.

Cameron is a gem, the genius fabrication is even more apparent in the underbody than the luscious exterior work. The exhaust is art that sounds like a Wookie in ecstasy. Nicole has cool red vans smashing pedals. Martini Sparco seats. His kid hammering things is adorable. This is the nicest truck on the planet! Love it!!

I had one of these, a looooong time ago, with the coil sprung rear axle. It was great for doing burnouts. This beast in the vid is such a dream. Great video as always. 🔥

Great show. It was easy to tell that you were overwhelmed by this truck. I am too. Absolutely love it. Saying that it sounds good is like saying the Grand Canyon is a hole in the ground...
