This is the kind of work I like to see experimental, trial and error, just trying to find a result that YOU love, everyone else's opinion be damned! I'm using a similar approach on my 1970 c10 build. Just having fun with it I don't care to adhere to conventional guide lines. Because I'm not doing a restoration. I'm just building a monster of a truck that pleases me! Keep it up! Live the fenders BTW! Those are bad to the bone!

@ag_trucks
Жыл бұрын
The inner skin of my tailgate has been cut out to shave some weight so it's basically just the outer skin now. It was easy to unbend by tapping with a hammer in certain spots and applying force but it gets trickier with a factory tailgate.

How did you unbend the tailgate?
@ag_trucks
Жыл бұрын
The inner skin of my tailgate has been cut out to shave some weight so it's basically just the outer skin now. It was easy to unbend by tapping with a hammer in certain spots and applying force but it gets trickier with a factory tailgate.
Why did you use fiberglass instead of sealer on the bare metal before you primed ?
@ag_trucks
Жыл бұрын
I've always had good luck with fiberglass. Wherever I weld I put some just in case so that water can't reach the bodyfill
WHT color are you going with?

Beautiful truck brother… I bought delete plates from LS fab, I also ordered fender flares, going a pro street style truck, what flare did you go with this? I think I have a 3.5” flare which was moderate for the front end

I'm not sure exactly how much flare it is, it's custom made to my tires so I don't have precise measurements compared to stock. Thank you!
