I can't believe how unbelievably good she is at such a young age. This is such a difficult song to tackle even from the opening line. To have the feeling and inflections at the right moments! Lil momma did that! I'm shook and I absolutely loved this.

Cheryl does such an incredibly amazing job...it is SO important for these young kids to see how excited SHE gets because THEY are doing so well and she is celebrating, not only for but WITH them and giving them all SO much self confidence! Its just beautiful to see from her and how each of the kids react to her celebrating them and their talent, them reaching each and every little goal! Well done mama Cheryl, you are quite literally changing the lives of several generations of kids with this and these lessons...even if they were to only ever have 1 lesson with you in their life..the encouragement, the self confidence you gave them in those moments, those are something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives,changing not only their lives for the better, but those of their eventual children aswell. It’s really amazing to see people start singing at such a young age! Your videos inspired me to start singing again. Keep being an inspiration to all singers Ms. Porter! Also, on an unrelated note. I’m a male, and after puberty my vocal range dropped as expected. But now, I can barely sing the D next to middle C in chest voice. Is this normal and does anyone know how to practice singing higher if possible? Thanks!

In teenage boys, the vocal folds (vocal cords) thicken, lengthen and mature. It's normal sweetheart ❤ Keep on practicing but be careful not to hurt your vocal cords and avoid any damage 😘

The last part got me teary ... Cheryl is a mother for all. Great coach indeed!

Seriously how can any one fail with such an absolutely awesome and encouraging teacher such as you? All teaching colleges should use you as the blueprint for the perfect mentour and teacher, I think you are flipping fantastic. Much love to you xxx

I would love to see a longer video where you let the singer sing the song how they would usually sing it, work on what needs to be improved and the let them sing it again with the improvements so we can really see the full change! That would be so cool to watch!

I'm so jealous of people that get to have you as a voice teacher. My mom actually got a gift certificate for a place near me for a few lessons. Is there a way I can overcome my fear of singing in front of people so that I can get the most out of the lessons? (I can sing by myself and in a car easily with no fear)

This needs a little bit time. I started to go on a sports field where no teams trained, just a few people doing fitness on their own. I started singing there. The cool thing is, people can hear the loud vocals where i am sure, but not the vocals that i failed because they were to far away me. Some told me, when they have heard me, that they enjoyed my singing. The more you hear it, the stronger you become and the less distance you need to other people. And at some days when I thought I was bad people had still admired me. That gave me the confidence, that even when you definitly fail a note, nobody cares about it; people see the good things in you. I can Tell you this: I am sure over 100 people in one year said to me that they found my singing good, and only 2 said something else, and that were a drunken man and two childs had nothing to do in their freetime. Now I'm singing in a tunnel to a party mile in my town and everyone thinks it is good and I still earned money with that. I never believed that would bei the case.

Cheryl, my mother and I have been watching The Vouce Kids online together, and when she overheard this video, she asked if this was a coaching session I was watching without her. She was amazed at the difference in that incredible little voice through your lesson. She commented on how everything was pink, that you lavished praise and cheered her on, and that not only did that little one's skill grow with your lesson, but her confidence and spirit did too. My mom was in awe of your training skills. I will now be showing her what you and the talented people you work with can do. Thank you for being you!!

The good teachers always find the parts where their students are competent and they make sure to celebrate that goodness with their student, they never expect their students to get all the things right all the time (unless they’re extremely advanced); they seem to know exactly the element that needs to be mastered next, and they celebrate every single victory their student has. Miss Cheryl is so rooted in love and positivity and excellence her students have no choice but to thrive and shine after working with her. It’s the love every single time for me and why I always end up crying happy tears while I watch her. 💕💕💕💕💕

The absolute best vocal coach I've ever seen . I wouldn't even call her a vocal coach that's much too simple ,she's a life mentor ,and an amazing beacon of light and not to mention a great example for all people not just women . I've learned so much from her videos . Ive come so far by just following the instructions she give in her videos . So if you read this thank you Cheryl.

Regardless of whether or not a person sings, the things they can learn from you regarding teaching style can overlap into everything- I homeschool 5 kids and you are an inspiration of a teacher!!!!!

Love how she soaks up your instruction and instantly corrects when u point it out. Sometimes it’s hard for people to take correction but she’s the epitome of “moldable” clay. Love it. She’s amazing and so are you miss teach. Her ability to match pitch so perfectly after one correction is flooring me.

I love this lady! Her joy and child-like spirit make me cry every time I watch her videos. I hope her friends realize how blessed they truly are to have a sweet soul like she in their lives.

This just puts a smile on my face. I can tell the love and care you have for your pupils because you're so patient with them and always look things in the positive side as to prevent them from losing their confidence.

There are not a lot of kids herage who'd be able to sing like she did in this video. She got real talent that only needs a little bit of developing. Great that she has a great vocal coach!

Hey Mama Cheryl! I am 13 (14 in May) and singing is my life. I began singing in Kindergarten because I fell in love with the movie “Frozen”, and loved listening to Elsa sing “Let it Go”. Present day, I participate in Show Choir and have had at least one solo at every choir concert and show choir show. After about 9 years of singing my heart out, I sound great, but lack technique. For my birthday, I asked for your 4 courses. If I don’t get the courses in May, I plan on buying them with money from helping my papaw. I am so excited to go on this journey with you, Mama Cheryl!
