0:00 Intro
0:04 Well this is certainly a first
0:15 I don't even know how this could happen
0:24 Absolutely insane this managed to still drive into the shop with a destroyed engine like this
0:34 This turbo was on a Bentley GTC
0:43 Customer states “my brakes don’t work & i don’t know why”
0:54 They declined repairs, and picked it up in another vehicle that was knocking even worse
1:17 This must have been rusting for a long time for it to fail this badly
1:28 Turns out there's a star connector above the glove box that either comes loose or corrodes causing this
1:46 Impressive these gears lasted 2 weeks without oil before failing
2:01 Definitely sounds like rod knock so the engine will need to be rebuilt
2:12 Yup... the customer was serious
2:17 Extremely lucky this customer bought this in before the wheel fell off
2:28 V6 auto too who would've guessed
2:41 I think it landed on bankrupt
2:49 Another turbo failure unfortunately, usually best to just replace the turbo instead of rebuilding
2:59 You already know this customer declined any brake work the last couple of times they were in the shop leading to this mess
3:24 Whoever borrowed it really neglected the oil changes, mechanic said they'll no longer be lending their truck out to anyone
3:30 Found out what was causing that misfire
3:40 Sway bar end snapped off, easy fix just makes the cars handle a bit worse around corners and sharp turns
3:47 A running theme in this video with another turbo blowing at only 59,000miles
3:55 Caused by a bad power module
4:08 Thankfully in newer vehicles they have added a new injection port that stops most of this build up
4:14 Customer states "I hit a pothole and now the steering feels wobbly". It drove in like this…
4:34 Customer stated a "bad shaking when accelerating past 20 mph" and this was found
4:44 Customer states "it makes a noise when turning"
4:50 Customer states "my clutch makes noise when I let off the pedal"
5:07 It had been in storage for some time and the owner drove it in for some work to do but got extremely lucky
5:16 Easy fix as they didn't end up having to take the motor out

2:12 "Why can't you just patch the holes?" "Okay sir, that's 56 patches at $4 per patch, plus 4 hours labor. That comes to $550. I'm afraid I'll need cash, up front."

And no warranty
0:25 This engine has a magnificent engineering design. This inspection window grants a fast and precise diagnosis.

My wife's RAV4 ended up with TWO of those inspection windows when it threw two rods while passing a truck. (Even after a full autopsy I have no idea why). BUT - when the car trailer arrived - it managed to drive itself up onto the trailer on the two remaining cylinders. Only damage was the block, the sump, two rods and two pistons. Everything else was re-usable (though I didn't actually re-use the crank because it had obviously been subjected to unusual loads hammering rods out through the block...)
HAHAHA Not the Sport Cobra Camaro Convertible.

I understand that Chevy only made one that year.
The miniature race seat cup holder in the last clip! Say what????😂😂
0:24 I managed to drive my old Dodge Spirit 30 +- miles back home on 3 cylinders, with the 4th broken and a hole in the block. Some engines can keep running for a while after catastrophic failure . Needless to say, that car was scrapped.
My favorite part of this video is the bicycle chainring in the intro lol
Thank. God I live In the Uk where there’s an annul MOT test!
Good lord, yeah. EGR systems are horrible when maintenance is neglected. I bought a 9-year-old car used. Little 4 cylinder in-line. Had an EGR and no record of an injector service ever being done, so I did it to clean it out a bit. It threw so much soot out the exhaust it actually changed the engine compression ratio and set a MIL. It literally went from maybe 30 MPG on a good day to getting closer to 45 highway. Good job, engineers.
3:47 luckily it failed just before the warranty is up
You sound like the guy from the powernation tv shows ! 🤣 love it
2:13 we had a kid drive up to the bays and said they think their tire was flat. The bead was all that was left of the tire
That 944 timing belt literally took my breath away! 😬

The only time I wish the feds would step in with mandatory vehicle inspections. Those pieces of junk would be scrapped.

I enjoy your posts as they are a break from the usual stuff on YT.
At this point, I think you can leave out the vids of trashed brake rotors and floppy turbo impellers. Seen that stuff like 1000 times. Always interesting compilations though. 👍
4:12 , damn , it reminds me to clean my EGR valve soon (sometimes the EML turns on because the valve gets stuck)
Porsche owner needs to buy a lottery ticket! One lucky day there.
5:17 mans got a built in air compressor xD
MVP (Most Valued Part) has to go to the 944's timing belt for not snapping and potentially grenading the engine of a wonderful classic. Although the the blown engine that still drove itself to the shop probably deserves the award as well!
A masterpiece.
Putting turbo 4 bangers in everything is really gonna hurt the longevity of these cars

Don't worry, the engineers are reading the comments section for the experts opinions.

They're aware. It's planned obsolescence. Hell, 3 cylinders are rapidly becoming the norm.

Exact reason why I haven’t upgraded my 2019 vw atlas. I was so excited for the 2024 refresh and was days away from trading mine in until they announced it’s only coming in a 4 cylinder. Now I’ll be going to a BMW x3 or x5 for its 6 or 8 cylinder at the end of the year
This show reminds of a friend I once had. She did absolutely nothing but put gas in & drove. 9 out of 10 cars got crashed before problems started in. She died of cancer, not a car crash. P.S. Never but never loan your vehicle to anyone.
i just changed my cabin filter. i don't think anyone has ever changed it before. there were leaves in there from autumn of '99. i also dropped the blower motor and removed some leaves that were trapped in the birdcage of the fan making noise.
5:17 They got a free didgeridoo with their climate control system.😂
the rust on the cars is incredible. aussie we dont get that sort of rust ever
That 944 belt was SCARY. I think the 2 valve cars were not interference, but everything else most certainly was~

Oh, the 2 valves make a good impression, too. On the piston. ;-))
That last one with the blower motor I've had that happen in my truck and it turned out to be it sucked the napkins out of the glovebox into the motor.

Pretty lucky that just the teeth stripped. I have seen the case bust open before
3:25 exactly what happened to me, I loaned my 2005 corolla to my dad during covid and it turns out he drove it 10k miles in one year without an oil change, I definitely gave him a piece of my mind but luckily the engine was still fine.

I loaned out my 81 Accord 4dr to my neighbor when I was away at college. Came back he’d replaced the battery. Backwards. Once that was figured out, fuel pump was dead.
Scary stuff!!! 😳
Weird seeing my own video here @ 3:58. It turned out to be a broken fuse. Not blown but two blades were only sometimes making contact.
2:29 Did Cobra Commander bring in his car?
Love the 3:00 Blue Tooth Brake Rotors...
Look left, look right. These well maintained crash test vehicles are next to you.
We fit catch cans, to our diesels , to stop this, egr issue,, happily we do not have to salt roads in Australia, so chassis rust isn't an issue , unless you do a lot of beach driving.
0:35 no the over complicated engineerings is what broke that?
0:25 Duratec v6's wont die. They will spin bearings on you easily tho.

My wife tells me her car is making a bad grind when she brakes. 🤦♂️ bad grind -- understatement-- she ground the pad plate away and was starting on the calipers cups🤦♂️
4:37 Those are trailing arms.
First clip. The problem is its a Hyundai 2.4. Need I say anymore?
My uncle uncle had an infinity that I did the brakes on and I had to replace the rear brake calipers and I accidentally put a right side caliper on the left now I’m just waiting for a video where my mistake has been found.
No spray foam?

If you treat your cars like this, what about bridges, elevators, airplanes, cranes, aerial platforms, trucks, escalators, it looks like you don't care about your fellow man?

I dont want to be the nerd kiddo in the comments. But i am gonna put on some glasses and say that that 944 with bad timing belt is actualy a 924 not a 944.
