Cursed Century ate Both Docks ! Boat Ramp Fails with Alfred Montaner (Chit Show)

Спорт

The Cursed Century is back ! Guys this has nothing to do with operator error .! This boat is cursed ! Just like the Cursed Robalo of the past the very first cursed boat at the ramp was a dock destroyer called the Cursed Century, Today we film the Chit Show at the Black Point Marina Boat Ramp in Miami Florida. My name is Alfred Montaner Host of the Chit Show.

Also amazes me how many people don't know how to wrap a line , either bow, mid or stern line to the pier and then use the motor to power the boat to the dock instead of the bow/steren drifting off.

it looks easy but most people will never have to deal with that absolute brutal tidal current, weather incoming out outgoing... When its ripping that ramp will make a fool out of the most experienced boater... Once that motor is in neutral, all momentum is lost and the current spins the boat and in a knee jerk reaction, you hit the throttles... (Whiskey Throttle). It will happen to all of us us... lol..

The Hook horse blinders or steampunk frames will be way too hot in Florida. You need some air flow on the sides. Without the air flow, lenses will fog up fast. Those could work great in Michigan during blizzards, whiteouts... snow blind.. Edit- The frames could work well at Burning Man. The copper lens is great for inshore waters, fresh and salt.

With watching the first approach I can tell. When you see someone with a twin (or multi) engine boat approach the dock using both (or all) engines as one you can bet they are clueless. No clue how to use the engines independently to better control the boat around the dock. If you look at a seasoned boater you will see them take all but one engine out of gear before they even get close to the dock, this slows the approach speed. They they will use each engine as needed to either speed up, slow down or rotate the boat. By the time this guy tries to use the throttles separately it's far too late. Another clue....he leaves the helm to try and stop the boat from crashing....while it's still in GEAR! He falls over he becomes chum for Fred.

I have never captain a boat in the ocean where you have both wind and lots of current. We did charter a fishing boat and that captain came into the dock without any issues. If you are going to captain a dual outboard with 250hp each, it might be helpful to get some professional training. I never see the tow boat captains opening the throttle when docking.
