I can sense it; I’ve convinced myself that the world I love is gone.
The blood is on the walls, the damage has been done.
We carry the weight of selfless scars we silently crave.
Upon a pedestal we place our pain.
One quandary for the counsel; too humble to brag.
Cut the venom out, but the snake still buries its fangs.
So when you take a look deep inside yourself, it swells and it stings.
Like a chemical reaction burning your brain.
In lies the weight of our regrets, sharpen the knives that cut through our deepest strings of hate;
Show me the love you’ve always wanted.
All the love is gone, driven apart by what we all have seen;
We’re falling over ourselves.
How do we mourn what's lost, what never will be?
Remember me, remember me as you loved me.
Carry the weight of selfless scars we silently crave.
Show me your hands and touch the stars with me.
We’re never just on one path, one road to travel it seems
Our story’s infinite & we’ve just been pulling at the strings;
And now there never will be.
We have exercised the will of parasites.
Witness the birth of innocence & our call to grow.
All the love is gone, driven apart by what we all have seen;
We’re falling over ourselves.
How do we mourn what's lost, what never will be?
Remember me, remember me as you loved me.
Carry the weight of selfless scars we silently crave.
Show me your hands and touch the stars with me.
Falling walls like mountains form where I stand.
You are my family, and I will not let hate be my last sin.

People think screaming in music is a bad thing. Its not, its a way to show emotion in a way that regular singing can't. This song is clear evidence of that.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a vocalist with as much emotion in their voice is Brian He’s just straight haunting. Sends chills Also, whoever is doing the synths is a genius. I’m not sure if it’s Chris or not, but the atmospheric synths in the back of every track just make Currents stand out above the rest and create a sort of theatre and volume to all of their songs. Words cannot express how much I love this band, all thoughts and prayers to Ryan.
The bridge before the second chorus was goosebump inducing. So beautiful. One of the best bands in our genre right now and I can’t wait for this album. They just keep getting better. Also this album releases on my mothers birthday, and I’m completely shunned by her and my entire family. That alone makes me emotional. Hate mourning those I love as if they died just to cope and move on from the hurt of feeling dead to them myself.
This band is so fucking under rated it angers me. They deserve all the praise

Currents hits different OG. I gotta catch a show this year.
What an amazingly written song. These lyrics are probably some of the best I've ever seen not just from Currents, but from the metal scene itself. So much emotion delivered, especially on the line "And now there never will be" Great track. Cannot wait for the album.

Currents has got to be one of the most underrated and overlooked metal core bands out right now. These guys should be selling out shows left and right!

Since I havent seen anyone else mention it, I'm gonna. Besides the fact that Currents broke through all others to be my all time favorite band (I'm not young either) and considering this is my 100th time - at least - watching this video, I can confidently say that the main actor in these recent videos has been doing a great job supporting the vibe of the song and delivers genuine life-like performances. I feel like that's probably why nobody has pointed it out. It meshes with the song so well that you forget it's an actor. Long story short, Bravo to whoever that guy is. Good stuff man.

Brian's scream is something infinitely cool, filled with emotions to the absolute maximum. In terms of expression, it reminds me of the scream of the Devil Wears Prada vocalist, but Brian's is more brutal, gloomy, dark.
