I know this is a late reply but you should check out some christian metal! I don't mean to push religion on you, it is your choice to follow any given path. However, it is nice to get away from the constant bombardment of nihilism that fills the lyrics of most metal songs. It's just a suggestion as the lyrics can be very uplifting, hope you're doing well with your struggles.

1:26 there’s something so special about that riff for me, some sense of euphoria and melancholia that makes me to detached from everything and imagine a cold cloudy weather standing on a mountain outside of the city, watching the city from above thinking about the meaning of existence watching everything moving by, can’t put enough words for it, god i love this band.

“As If It Never Was” makes me feel such deep longing and sadness as I listen. Makes me have a deep, painful cry… Because my husband and I got shunned by my religious family, July 2021. We left the religion they’re apart of, and spoke up about the things they were hiding. They didn’t like that, so they shunned us. It’s been almost a year, and the pain is still as raw as it was the day it happened. The grief is immense. The actual instrumentation of the song is what helped make me emotional in the first place…. You guys as a band have never failed. I love you guys so much.

I feel sorry for any other band in the scene. Literally no one is even close to being the caliber of this band. I’m so happy for them that UNFD signed them. They deserve this and so much more. This EP is fucking amazing, and the idea to shoot one music video for all three songs was brilliant. I’m all about this era of the band.

this literally blew my heart out of my body ....Invent Animate this is a Godly piece of work and literally had me crying for some reason.... it literally made me think of my anxiety and my depression and how i lost people in my life i loved and like it just is sooo good 100% my favorite band and favorit music video I have seen.

I think he's talking about the guilt of not being there for somebody who was lost to addiction to be honest. stay humble and dibt turn you back on people you care about if they start doing hard drugs cause most people aren't doing to get fucked up. they do it because they're going through some shit and feel alone or had bad upbringings

I feel the same. As soon as the chorus came on I started tearing up. It’s been stuck on repeat my whole work shift today, and I don’t regret it. This song is my new addiction.

Everyone in this band is so talented and so good at not just playing their instruments, but being able to use the instrument to tell a story and just mess with my mind. The drummer specifically rattles my bones and can pull me out of any trance with how he highlights the song

i get goosebumps everytime when the ambience at 9:32 hits..wow

This band produces nothing but absolute perfection. God-tier material.

I feel like people in the future will just ignore the EP thing and treat this song as one of the all time classics of the genre. Much how Day In The Life was a mix of a few Beatles songs The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was will be considered one 10 minute epic Metalcore jam for the ages. This will definitely be in my end of year list as a all time top song, as an EP there is no way its going to be beaten.

Знал, что ребята когда-нибудь сотворят нечто невероятное и как мне кажется это та самая работа. Объясню почему так думаю: Я загипнотизирован кадрами и музыкой, это просто невероятно! Каждый раз, как по новой, хотя знаю каждый кадр наизусть. Понятия не имею сколько было в это вложено и кто автор клипа, но то, что это для меня лютый референс по всем показателям -- это истина. Я солидарен с каждым кадром, разумеется музыкой и актёрами, которые, как мне кажется выполнили свою работу на все 100%. То, что из меня смогли вытащить эти эмоции и каждый раз Invent Animate это делают... иногда не понимаю как, но это правда и главное, что мне это нравится. Чувствую всеми фибрами тела, что с ними резонирую. Я готов ещё просмотреть 10 млн. раз. Не останавливайтесь, невероятный потенциал. Это одна из немногих работ на KZread, которую я рекламировал многим.

The last breakdown is so Northlane Discoveries era, I love it!!

This genuinely made me tear up. You can feel the raw emotion coming through all three tracks. Masterpiece.

I like to consider myself the “pope holding stillworld” meme bc I believe it to be one of the best metalcore records ever written (and i shove it in everyone’s face) but this.. wow. Hot damn. Hot diggity damn. The vibes are immaculate.

As If It Never Was hit something inside, my eyes went wet and searching in the coments noticed I wasn't the only one. This song man, this song touches your soul somehow and puts you in an emotional flow state. Both songs and the video are a masterpiece. Edit: Third week out and still listening to this everyday.

Crazy how Invent Animate is one of thee greatest bands to come out of the last decade. Unbelievably inspiring and emotive music.

First time hearing these guys. They have that sound I've been looking for that some bands capture seldomly in some songs. That mix of melodic, relaxing and heavy. It's just an awesome vibe. If the rest of your music stands up to this you've earned a new fan.

This band was one of the things that shaped me to who I am today with Everchanger/Stillworld. Greyview did take a bit of getting used to, but it always felt familiar and it grew with time to be another solid release and the next evolution of this band. This release brings me back to the Everchanger/Stillworld days while still being new, and with Marcus really shining through here for me. Cannot wait to see what's next with what is a seriously well deserved signing to UNFD. Oh, and Keaton is genuinely one of the most underrated guitarist's in this metalcore scene. Dude has been one of my riff lords for a longggggg time.

Felt the same way about Greyview, loved only part of it at first but listening to it now I can appreciate the full story being told much much more. A really cool bartender recommended IA back in 2019, and they are absolutely stellar not a bad song on any of their albums. IA thank you and keep going

As much as I am not the biggest fan of metalcore anymore (age does that to you), every now and then there's a band in that genre that blows your mind away with sheer intensity, rawness, and emotion. That band is Invent Animate. Why that band does not get more recognition is beyond me. Definitely a band to watch.

I have got to say it, as I've seen no comment about this My absolute fave is "," You can disagree with me, but IA are - simply put - masters of creating textures and atmospheres in their songs. Fireside is in my top 3 all-time fave tracks EVER. With "," I shed heavy tears when I heard just the first few notes. It's amazing how good their ambient tracks are, I'm in total love with them.

Agree man. Fireside is beautiful. But my all time favorite by them is Solace. Never in my life did I think an instrumental can move me to tears but that one did. I still get goosebumps listening to it and I've listened to it well over 100 times. It's magnificent

I don't even know what this is at 1:26 riff/leads/melody I don't know but it's by far my favourite guitar work of 2021. It instantly made me smile with pure enjoyment. Beautiful.

THIS BAND IS THE ONLY METAL BAND I CARE TO EVEN LISTEN TOO LATELY!!

still to this day, no song has come close to "as if it never was". by far the best track i've ever heard in the metalcore scene.

Invent Animate has become such a band that it makes me feel the deep and sad parts of my past and yet it makes me feel that they were so beautiful. This band is so good, their sound changed and this sound is so good. I FREAKING LOVE YOUR MUSIC 🥰🖤

Most Underrated band possibly ever, so much depth, emotion and restraint in this album, cant wait for more.
