My experience as a curl specialist is that 99.99 % of girls with curly hair find razored cuts or even just texturizing the ends a travesty and can't wait to get their hair blunt cut as soon as it grows out. Waste of time.

@@gracelaxton6035 where you based google curly hairdresser. My salon's curled Unruly Curls my hashtag is Curlpunk. I do the devacut / cbc technique in London. Dry cutting the only way to go.

I have curly hair and a razor makes me look like a q-tip. I agree with all these other comments about curly hair and razor cuts. Maybe someone with loose curls, but not us curly girls.

It pains me to see you use the razor. Having fine curly hair and have been razor cut before, I can tell you it's a nightmare after a few weeks, it will split and frizz like crazy.

Truth!! It destroys the curls and takes forever to grow out. Why is it so hard to find someone who knows how to properly cut curly hair?

I cringe as I watch you use a razor on curly hair . As a curly girl with fine hair that simply destroys my hair. I have also been told over and over never let anyone touch my hair with a razor .

Actually the trick is knowing how to use the razor on curly hair. I used to think the same but as a hair stylist I learned a lot on razor cuts specially on curly hair. The razor need to be sharp though to achieve a great cut.

It's so pretty when your hair grows out in layers and you have a natural shag.

This looks pretty cool on the model but I have fine 2b hair and this cut would DEFINITELY make my hair a frizzy tangled mess that is really difficult to grow out because of all the razoring and layering... I know because I've had to grow a cut like this out more than once. Not saying it's a bad haircut but you need to be very confident the shaggy look is what you're going for.

Well not Really. Razors & scissors range from $7-$800 handmade fine to cheap. Yea you may look like a poodle with $7 equipment vs $500 eqipment + thats why he did a wet cut & used the cream

I have had this style done on my naturally curly hair and it has completely taken out the curl from my hair and has made one side long and limp. Would love to see an alternate with no thinning out of the hair using a razor. I guess I have to wait for it to grow out :(

Yes! For length I use scissors, but the rest is razor and it works great for me!

It’d be nice to see a different type of haircut on curly hair (although that is more wavy) I’m no a fan of those super heavy bangs

Please don't if you love your curls! Using a razor on curly hair thins it and destroys your curl pattern!

I have a beach wave curl to my hair and cannot find a hairdresser or cut that brings out the curl to just wash and go with a bit of conditioning curl activator. I do not use abbr heat on my hair. I wish you had a list of stylist that followed your techniques.

In school we were told we couldn't use a razor on curly hair because it'll weaken the cuticle, what makes the Donald Scott razor different so you're able to use it on curly hair? Also I enjoy your videos.

Thank you! There has been no real info that says you can’t use a razor on curly hair or that it weakens the cuticle. There is a lot of opinions that run through beauty school education. I personally would have no problem using any razor with a new blade on curly hair.

You REALLY don't want to use a razor on curly hair but especially not the ends. Maybe to lose weight at the roots but the ends?? You'll end up with frizzy, unmanageable, and even a loss of curls. It's not a good thing. This razor technique is not for curls, anyone who tells you differently has straight hair lmao!
