    Alot of times when you change the nox inlet the outlet will go out in quick order i change them both at the same time thanks for the video

    Let me add onto your statement...In my experience, the outlet will typically wear out a few thousand engine hours after the inlet, so consider that before swapping both at the same time--they're not cheap. If your aftertreatment is under warranty and Cummins finds out you replaced a good sensor without reason, they might not cover it.

    Also protip, buy a thread chase or tap the size of the nox sensor and every time you replace one, go in and clean up the threads with it. They build up rust and gunk in there that can cause some issues threading on your next nox sensor

    Thanks for the video. When I'm looking for a video on a problem I'm having, I'm always relieved to see you covered it. I removed the little heat shield thing between the turbo and the sensor, and I had room to use a regular 7/8 wrench. It also broke free without much force, without using a torch or anything. I think a shop removed it to do something about a year ago. So maybe that's why.

    Thank you for this Video Francisco. I definitely used torch to heat up bolt. It came off so much easier. Also the 7/8 wrench I used was the same. The regular 7/8 wrench was not working as great.

    Just one quick thing...It appeared you didn't have the yellow tab clicked all the way back in. Those last few millimeters of engagement are essential to ensuring it does not come loose and give you a non-communication fault code down the road (FC3232 or 2771). Those are very difficult to diagnose.

I got it done and I’m very thankful you do these videos. You got a “like “ and subscribe from me. I’ll send a donation once I have a better week. I do have one question: I don’t have a computer to delete the code.I saw you said to get it up to temp, but you still had a computer to clear it out. Is there anyway to clear the check engine code without a computer?

    FC3725 is triggered based on the inlet NOx sensor's reading being unstable for too long. It may or may not be a "real" sensor failure. I suggest checking some obvious things: Is the sensor cable burnt? Sometimes the cable makes contact with the turbo and gets burnt. Is the sensor probe dented or bent? Visible damage to the probe will almost always result in permanent failure. Is your ECM cal up to date?

  • @omegaqed8592

    @omegaqed8592

    2 жыл бұрын

    No do not attempt to clean the sensor unless the probe is literally caked in soot and you cannot see the inlet holes. If you want to remove the soot, then use a damp towel (not soaking). The sensing element inside the probe can be damaged by almost anything. 99% of the time, the fault code is unrelated to cleanliness. If your connector is dirty and you've having trouble engaging the yellow tab, you can wipe off the gunk (rag, q-tip, etc.) but be sure not to bend the pins inside the connector or get any fluid into the connector. There is a hole in the connector which leads to the PCB. If you spray something in there, it could damage the PCB.
