I still cannot believe huff is out, but yoshis power continue. Being able to outlast huff post 29 is HUGE for scutti. AlexT game 1 was just another level, 75% tetris rate in kill screen and 68% post killscreen.Sidnev game 1 was also incredible, but she could not survive. After that game, She always had a lead against alexT into lv 29, she played so clean, and the droughts kill them both post lv 29, so alexT never had the chance to comeback. Sidnev for me is still the favourite to reach the final, but we will see. She is so strong. But scutti and his yoshis have already shown us that its possible. Tomorrow is gonna be huge too, the brothers and fractal will play

I am an idiot and a complete noob when it comes to tetris and these live competitions but I was wondering why they start at level 18 for? I can't even get pass level 14. I am on pc though with keyboard and its very hard to do what these guys do. I wish I could learn how to roll on a keyboard because that would probably help me with time and pacing.

Level 18 start has been the competitive standard in CTWC and online events for a LONG time. Are you in any of the CT discords?

Master Saelee's sweeping victory with over Grandmaster Neubauer was paradigm shift. Old guard was defeated and young 'uns were able to show how good they could be and they are technically so much better. It is still likely Grandmaster Neubauer's dominant streak (seven championships, two silver positions and one Top 16 finish) will not be beaten because there are so many really, really good players all competing against each other.

I know personally I was on my phone during my matches to change up music and maybe send messages to my family. So we all have different reasons for why we check out phones :)

You prob think they're checking their TikTok or something, I can assure you they're not. Some players are taking notes with something they struggled with, something they did well, their score at transition, final score, or any other notes about the game.

Top 4 onward had 2p matches, but because of time constraints we had to have 4 players at a time for most of the tournament

Tetris had its peak a few years ago, now hardly anyone is interested cause the new generation of players are boring to watch

I think the channel not being completely active for the better part of 2 years had more of an impact. I think a lot of people consider the elevated level of play quite entertaining
