even on 18 the stacking and foresight of some of these players is absolutely crazy. It's really visible in alex vs sidnev, the way both of them do adjustments and delayeyed burn is magical

haha i think that last game was my highest ever score into 39 at the time. would not have been possible if i wasn't playing against somebody who had the will to survive for so long each game. those are always the most fun sets, so thx andy! bonus puzzle: how could i have gotten the last tetris when i was at 329 lines?

Advice for next years ctwc video coverage. Make all of the videos the same length which could cover a 5 game match that go full distance so we dont have spoilers of a sweep or anything else like in previous years. Ps. still absolutely loving this years videos

they already pad the matches quite a bit at the end to do this, but you can only take this strategy so far before it completely neuters the average view duration for the video (and its performance on the youtube algorithm)

@aGameScout I figured thats why they did it this year. Its definitely a balancing act that they have to do. This is also the first year I have actually watched as the videos were released. I would normally wait for a bit, then binge watch them all, but I would always get spoiled who was in the final. But i am having a great time this year.

@@davidwhite2574yeah we had considered it when we started uploading this year but when we shortened the amount of dead-time at the end of the videos and I focused on providing background info on players, the views and average view duration went up be a good %.

I think going into the tournament that was pretty ideal play, nobody was prepared for Fractal to be on those paces 😭

Dog game 2 and 3 were insane, dengler was always 4 tetris behind, he didnt have a chance... Dog was beast mode. Fractal, what was that? Was that even real??? Andy played insane, he score 1.2 1.2 and 1.3 with lv 37, lv 36 and lv 37 and still lost all those 3 games. Fractal is not from this world. That last game from fractal... 1.7 with the new rules... It have to be a record or sth

The game has 60 hz inputs, rolling is just on the edge of what you possibly could do. I dont play the game, but i think players actually need to roll just in the right speed for it to register, any faster the inputs would miss.

Possibly, all gold bracket qualifiers got a CTWC Cart to commemorate making the bracket

I think fractal will have problems facing Dog. Because Dog plays so well in the early rounds he puts pressure on his opponents, which causes them to make mistakes.
