CSX Cumberland - Grafton Chessie SD50 Finale August 1990 - Part 4

This video documents CSX Transportation locomotives sighted at various CSXT yards in August of 1990. You will see locomotives on location in Paintsville, Kentucky, Huntington, West Virginia, Russell, Kentucky, as well as Chillicothe, Columbus, Fostoria, and Walbridge, Ohio. We then switch gears for the last portion of the video and showcase a couple of trains in Howell, Michigan along the ex C&O followed by numerous trains in Portage, Indiana along the ex B&O. Finally, and in conclusion we witness locomotives at UP's Dolton Yard Center, IHB's Blue Island yard and CSXT's Barr Yard in the Chicago area. If you like watching the early stages of CSX, then this video is for you.

    Everything including railroading was better in the past. Nothing is the same anymore. Great video, almost brought me to tears. I remember these days all too well. Thank you.

    Railroading is not the same as it was "back in the day". Stack cars and GE power is all we see anymore.

    I like the current CSX paint scheme, but maybe they should have kept the Chessie System scheme, removed the old railroad name and put, "CSX," on the long hood? It was the best scheme in modern railroading.

    4215 worked the Ogeechee Railroad and then the Heart of Georgia Railroad before GWI sold it to LTEX.
