Great review, well paced, and that was an awesome accuracy test!

I bought the cheaper one(polymer version) cause it was the only one available. I love it! Took out the laser cause it wasn't really needed, it added unnecessary weight. I added a light to it, took out the safety switch so that firing is a lot quicker, and that's about it. I hope to buy the metal version someday when it's available.

The first modern production mag-fed lever action crossbow. First, but not last. The R9-RX version of the Cobra also has a 5-arrow magazine from Jeorg called the Adder, and the updated 7-shot version of it has a stripper clip. And now there’s a great compound draw pistol crossbow; I’m hoping to see a magazine for that too. This is the golden age of crossbows. Extreme speed on the high end, tactical utility on the practical end.

I love the one in this video. Well conceived, well made. HOWEVER.... I own both of them, and the Adder with the stripper clip is the more powerful and more stable (and therefore, more accurate) item. If you want a repeating crossbow , that’s as good as you can get from a production item.

Check out the new mini adder. It's got an amazing redesign. Personally, I chose the mini striker because I don't like recurves but the striker is a compact compound 120 up to 150lb

The reload process is really impressive.

I have one on my cheap Taiwanese xbow. Works great they even make them with three dots for 20 30 40. Perfect for closer ranges

Great review, my concern is with that thin piece of metal hanging out while loading. Seems it could very easily be bent or damaged whike loading. Any thoughts?

I saw another guy reviewing basically the same bow and he pointed that piece out. He said you have to be careful with it, because it can and will bend if not handled carefully. I think he recommended having a couple spares of that part handy.

You should check Joerg sprave bows and crossbows. He has a lot of repeater bows and Xbows, The cobra Adder R9 is one of his creations and it's a 130lb pound xbow with a magazine. Also his Repating bow instant legolas. Also the magazine your carrying its actually Joerg Sprave in design. Its German tech of course.

Imagine a electric one with a super magnet to automatically pull it back and a strong copper spring that won't be affected by the magnet to shoot the arrow even further (pull the trigger magnet releases and the spring plus the power of the crossbow shoot the arrow together)

Cobra adder is one powerful bow!

I would say the right hands belong to that guy from The Water Swatters. That guy is hunting all sorts of animals with these tiny bows, he's not the hunter that Keith is but I enjoy watching them both.

I've been reading reviews in the little hunting arrows and thays say thay are junk but after seeing them take 2 hogs well now you know👍

I know comparisons to video games are kinda annoying, but this reminds me of that one crossbow pistol from Black Ops 3. Too bad it doesn’t have the auto cocking mechanism so you can dual wield it like in game.

I wonder if you could just use a little bit tape to hold the arrows together, the string should be strong enough to cut through the tape.

I've had my aluminum-build Stinger I for three years now. Still holds up just like the first day I got it. They've gone on to a new polymer generation now, so I don't know how those hold up over time.

Try a recoil pad, like a limbsaver. Other than that, a muzzle break is good.

What a great little crossbow pistol, if the price includes the Sight Mark that's a really good deal for $300, I think it's time to get one of these, I could turn some really nice arrows on the lathe and I'd finally have a crossbow LOL.

Yeah, but you need a lot of practice to using it accurately, and not very good for small hunting game.

Its sold as an 80lb xbow but it is only a 56lb limb....you can buy a gen 80lb limb to replace this its called the Horti-zone 80lb.

If only the xbow supersonic had a mag, although loading takes less than ten seconds after each shot, on average 7, its more slim, and a hell of a lot more powerful, but thats a nice product and one i may purchase, the adder is too big.

Bro if a semi automatic crossbow ever comes to existing I will buy it.

They have one with an 80lb draw, red dot scope, and 27 arrows on amazon for 90$. Also 150 feet per second. Not bad for 140$ cheaper than this one but this one does travel 70 feet per second faster so idk

Man... IDK if i would try to take a rat with that,... I think its a great backyard/basement plinker though,shoot at a dartboard target and have target games.. Yeah.. I know you can take smaller things with it but if i were going to hunt a hog with it,it already says Smithfield on the wrapper and im cutting it off with the broadhead

Reload speed is as quick as a short bow.

Never see you or your brother Allan on tv anymore maybe you and him can do a bass show together something new i never have seen you and him in the same outdoors show together lol
