I want to see him wandering through random unrelated people's videos saying stuff like that with an arrow coming out of his head still wearing the same clothes. Imagine seeing him just randomly wander through the middle of a SciShow episode one time to jever be seen again on the show, then later, you see him wander across a National Geographic show somewhere in Kenya. You see him on the news once wandering across a battlefield in Ukraine being completely ignored by combatants on both sides who all just go around him as he passes through. No it wasn't 🤷 it was dumb. Especially this long after it happened. The next day? Sure. Not a week or two later. It's just like Donut Operator. He's always wayyyy behind everybody else on police vids. His are always 2+ weeks after everybody else's. Nobody wants to watch it at that point. Weve seen it 100 times on 10 different channels by then. I'll never understand why he can't put vids out in a timely manner like everybody else does. 2 or 3 days later is fine. 2 or 3 weeks later isn't. Why would I watch a breakdown of a vid I've seen 50 times by now? 🤷 To me, it's clear Donut is sick of doing youtube vids or he wouldn't take so long to do them after they happen. There was a time when he did them soon after they came out. That time passed long ago. IMO, it's time for him to give it up because it's clear he doesn't want to do it and only does to keep some type of income coming in.

Matt the top with claws is a bird hunting tip. The centre is supposed to inflict blunt trauma and kill the bird, the 3 claws are to hook into grass and stuff Sri you don’t lose your arrow/quarrel. The folding broadheads are designed for the blades to fold away so they fly more like a practice point, which makes it more accurate/consistent, and then opens up on impact so that it does it’s job.

Just for future trials, the ones with the blades that folded back are mechanical broadheads. There should be a way to retain them in the back position, then on impact they will expand and give the full cut. This is to help with aerodynamics during flight while still giving a really big cut on impact.

Hey Matt. Used to bow hunt quite alot back in the day. That broad head you used that you weren't sure what it is used for, believe it or not it's actually a bird hunting broadhead. Rather than slicing through the animal like a regular broadhead, those actually slap the bird you're shooting, and then the wire things help prop the arrow up so its easier to find once you've shot. Hope this helps.

The turkey decapitator reminded of a story about some historical assassin crossbow bolts. It was like a field tip but an inch long of glass. Theory being it would shatter into the the would making it impossible to sew up.

9:00 it’s an expanding broadhead. It’s supposed to be folded (usually, back in the day with a rubber band / o ring) forward in flight to help reduce the lose of accuracy, and when it hits the… “target” it opens and does the dead.

Usually, you would use a little rubber ring to hold the blades closed on an expanding broadhead to keep the arrow as accurate as possible. When it impacts a target, it breaks the ring and expands.

The folding Broadhead is called a mechanical tip. You're supposed to have little tiny rubber bands. That hold it closed so that when it hits the target, it opens up to create a bigger wound channel.

Can't really compare a gun to a bow/crossbow. They are 2 vastly different ways of killing something. Guns are more about blunt force trauma causing the wound cavity and a broadhead is about cutting up the insides both on the initial hit and as the animal tries to run away it continues to do damage.
