Crosley Green Comes Home | Full Episode

The emotional homecoming of a man imprisoned for nearly 32 years. A judge ruled he was wrongfully convicted of murder, but is he home for good? Questions linger about the witness who blamed him. "48 Hours" correspondent Erin Moriarty has the latest on the case she's covered for more than two decades. Watch more full episodes of "48 Hours" on Pluto TV.
"I can’t sleep at night because of this case. After decades of investigation it has become apparent that Crosley Green did not get a fair trial. He was convicted of shooting a man in a deserted orange grove, but the case against him is wildly flawed. I am committed to report on Crosley’s story for as long as it takes. Through it all, Crosley is a man of incredible patience and grace." - Erin Moriarty on why the story is important.
#48hours #crime #mystery
Crime. Social justice. Impact. "48 Hours" investigates the most intriguing crime and justice cases that touch on all areas of the human experience including greed and passion. "48 Hours," which premiered in 1988, has developed a rich history of original reporting and impact journalism that has helped exonerate wrongly convicted people, caused cold cases to be reopened and solved, and along the way changed lives.

She would be squirming in her seat and Oprah is one of the nicest interviewers in the world now if you came across someone that was a harder interviewer she would P her pants and will probably say the interview is over. 30 years unbelievable what they did to this man and the prosecutor didn’t even care he’s the one that angers me the most because she comes from his neighborhood that doesn’t make her better than anyone else. The neighborhood I in has $1 million homes that doesn’t make me better than anyone else and when he said “those people” everyone knew what that meant he was putting himself above everyone else he was putting down poor people regardless of color and putting himself above others and that’s just not right. As a lifelong Florida resident I can say that the prosecutor guy’s explanation of why Kim wasn’t suspected of lying was simply “well, she’s from the same neighborhood I’M from. Why would she be suspected of being a liar??” is so very typical of the mindset in small towns down here. Because someone’s from a supposedly similar social standing as someone who considers themself above others, well by golly it’s inconceivable that they could do anything bad, and why should they even go through the trauma and stress of being LOOKED AT? 🙄 makes me absolutely nauseous. I’ve lived with this type of BS around me my whole life, in a small town an hour south of the capital city. So painfully, ridiculously typical. Such blatant BS.

I guess they feel like they have to believe the idiotic lies of the white girl, rather than accept that they have absolutely zero evidence against the black guy. They withheld the evidence that could have given him a "not guilty" verdict in the first trial, but who cares about the constitutional right to a fair trial for black people in the Florida court system? Most people have absolutely no idea how easy it is to be wrongly accused & convicted. And few people realize the massive discrepancy in funding for prosecutors vs public defenders. There are also a lot of unscrupulous prosecutors whose primary concern is “winning” & putting someone away. Those are elected positions & many want to appear “tough on crime” so they simply want to close the case. The actual guilt of the accused is inconsequential. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of dirtbags in prison who are guilty but few realize there are innocent people rotting away. And another huge issue is how many people are MASSIVELY overcharged & this is often based on race. It’s frustrating people are so blind to the systemic injustice.

How that prosecutor can sleep at night is beyond me. There has to be a line in which prosecutors can be held liable if they're prosecuting people in a negligent or unreasonable way. The only thing stopping them now is their own morality, and they don't seem to have much of that.

This man, Crosley Green, has been through enough. Not only should the court of appeals FULLY free him, the state of Florida, the county of Brevard & the city of Titusville should ALL be held accountable for his 32 YEARS of false imprisonment. Kim Haddock should be charged with perjury although to see the glimpse we've seen of her, she's definitely not living her best life but how could she when it's based in lies. Prayers of hope, strength & faith go out to Papa Green & his large Family for his full life of freedom. What's done in the dark will ALWAYS come to truth in the light ~ 🕊🙏🕊

I've made mistakes and done some bad things, but I can't believe that she would frame an innocent man. She could have just said she didn't recognize anyone, but instead she went out of her way to ruin someone's life. She's dangerous and I wouldn't be surprised if she has killed again, she has no heart.
