Someone probably already mentioned but the reason it was wavy after the ribbing is because you increased by putting more blue stitches than green ribbing rows! Also I would HIGHLY suggest using a single or half double crochet stitch for the ribbing! It will allow more stretch and go by sooo much faster

Also is you sew it together on the inside you can’t see the slip/single crochet stitches. Then for the sleeves when you are working in the round instead of doing the stitch from the inside of the circle out work around the circle. That way you see the nice front of the stitches when you wear it!

If you measure your gauge, then you will know how many stitches it takes to equal the height of a certain number of rows. For example, if you measure a 4x4" patch and are getting 18 stitches wide to 20 rows high then you will know to edge with 18 stitches per 20 rows OR, IOW, skip every 9th row.

Pink and yellow front is way better 💖
Thank you for almost completely eradicating my fear of making a sweater. You taught me that it is okay to not be perfect, and messups are inevitable. Feel inspired

Yeah, if you are making it for yourself it’s definitely not a problem.
I was once told by a phenomenal knitter/ crochet 92 yr old woman….there are no mistakes only character in our projects. If you wanted a perfect article buy one machine made! Love ❤️ your sweater!

I thought Benson was your husband and when you called him little and wanted to take him on walks in a matching sweater, I was just nodding along because it sounded like a great idea 😂

@@angelbarker5544 this just made me smile so much reading her comment. 😂💙
a little tip.. when you do the ribbing you can do a row of single crochets after finishing it „on top“ like on the side you want your blue yarn to go later.. then it‘s easier to find places to go in with the blue yarn later and it looks a bit more even? I hope I explained it good enough in my bad english🤓

You're such a inspiration. I started crochet 6 days before with years of "no I won't make this, that's to tricky" and I'm pretty impressed by myself how fast I learned and do things, but the confidence to make something to wear is so far away, but today I saw your video and your last words shooted me "I've never done a sweater before" girl you're so cool 😭 someday I will wake up, and I will make a sweater too and I will think about you 💪🧶
16:32it's actually called an invisible decrease, there are ways to do that with other types of stitches as well!
jenna! i came back to this video because it was the first video of yours that i ever watched, about two weeks ago? and i've been hooked on your videos since. what i love the most about your videos is that you show your mess-ups, and having to redo things over and over, and of course the amazing finished products which are so motivating. i am someone that was extremely artistically gifted as a child but now as an adult i NEVER do any art. but after watching your videos, i have found that artsy little girl inside of me and am just allowing myself to let loose with my creativity and have fun!!! something i haven't allowed myself to do in ages. since the start of 2022 i have already started and finished 2 projects: my first ever amigurumi project (a little whale) and just completed a beautiful crochet hat yesterday. i am allowing myself to make mistakes, do things over, play, learn new things, and my brain is buzzing with joy. i have a list of projects i want to do this year and will make a concentrated effort to weave these projects into my daily life and into my self-care routine because it helps SO MUCH. i love how you literally just go for it in your projects without fear of making a mistake, it has helped me to overcome that within my self a good deal. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO FIND MY ARTISTIC INNER CHILD, I HAVE NOT BEEN THIS HAPPY IN A LONG TIME!
instead of doing slip stitch ribbing you can do half double crochet ribbing which is a lot faster:) also working in the round would be a lot easier
@CatherineCane

i always do ribbing in half double crochet, slip and single are too slow! can confirm it works fine, i use it for hat bands
Finally someone without a perfect plan! That’s exactly what I needed, totally gonna crochet an uneven sweater 🫶
me just watching a bunch of her crochet vids to encourage myself to finish my crochet project
I'm SUPER inspired by this. I think I'll try making a sweater, today!! Thanks so much for this video.
Watching you make sweaters has inspired me to finally finish a sweater I started back in 2018. Now I'm halfway through the second sleeve!
The sweater really came out nice. I love watching you crochet and sew. Can ‘t wait to see Benson’s.

Love this and love that you just went for it without a pattern! Very fun 70s vibe to the colors and shape. Well done, i want to try now!
I just wanted to say I've noticed when double crocheting and turning your work my edges are straighter when I just chain 1 instead of 2. And also I crochet so much I love these videos!
You should try knitting w chunky needles ! I find it way quicker X
I'm in love with your channel ! Your videos pump me up to go and actually make stuff instead of just thinking about it :) Thank you for the inspiration
That is just so amazing that you made an entire sweater so quickly!!
I love how chill you are. You do it for fun and love to create. It’s amazing

Omg it was your first sweater!! Niiiice
Turned out fantastic! I am inspired to do this too. I made crochet socks with no pattern - they get better each one I make. You can use a smaller crochet hook to work the ends in instead of a needle.
Wow! I’m so impressed! I can make the heck out of blankets! But never tried a sweater
Jenna this sweater is perfection, seriously!! I love it!!
it looks so cute!! love the colors
I just want to say you are so chill and made crochet looks super easy!!!!! Some vdos made me stressed by just watching it!!!!! Thanks for the this!
It's really cute! You did very well. Love the bright colors!
if you want the ribbing to work up faster, you can single/half double crochet into the back loops instead of slip stitching:) also, about how many yards of yarn did you use?
The sweater looks amazing! Beautiful colors.
One thing you could do is to thread needles with different colors and stitch patterns into the surface of the sweater. I am a huge textile fan and even tho I don't knit sweaters I do a lot of other work with fabric so I love working a surface with different textures. You could even sew patches of cotton fabric onto the surface of the crochet.
YAYY another crochet video! I love these so much
YESSS, this is what I was waiting for!!
for ribbing, i count my rows of ribbing, and do that many stitches across. So if you did 80 rows, then you'd make sure you have 80 double crochets across (include your chain 3 at the beginning).
I love watching these types of videos
I was sitting on my floor for 20 minutes to watch this really cool and inspiring video while I was knitting a scarf for my mom. 🤍
I find it very interesting to watch because I've recently taught myself to knit over the last 6 months (:
I just love your attitude to crafting. You just go for it and you're so entertaining. love watching you although not sure I'm brave enough to try your patterns
I am obsessed with your channel!!🤩🧶
So talented, this is beautiful! And you have a glowing, lovely soul ✨
Some advice for other people who want to try this. For ribbing you can the same thing she did working only in the back stitch but just with single crochets. You can also go along when you finish the rubbing and to make stitches to crochet in you can single crochet twice in each hole she showed.
Yayyyy Jenna while I get ready in the morning!!
I love the colors together
That looks so amazing. I am making one right now for valentines day, and the pattern is inspired by the one that you made. keep it going your so good at it :)
This is so beautiful and so YOU. Wow
Love this video and I am in the middle of making a sweater of my own now. You are amazing
I randomly ran into your videos and I LOVE ITTT! Love your personality, really enjoyed watching it. Thanks!!!
Sooo cute, great job!!! 👏🏼
Love all the colors!!
YASSS crochet video, i love it and the sweater is sooo cute
Fell in love with this sweater, you did such an amazing job! I am currently getting in the car to go to my local craft store 💗
HDC in back loops create my all time fave ribbing I think c: Loooove the colours you chose for this sweater! Can’t wait to make my own this year :D
To decrease it, you could also put your hook through the first loop of two different stitches and put your double crochet in those two
How do you make it smaller without it all unravelling?
Supercute. The fact that you did that without a pattern is pretty impressive.
it looks so cute omg
This is brilliant! I love it and enjoyed watching.
I love watching your videos while crocheting and right now I am crocheting a balaclava because I really liked it when you made one
Fantastic x love the colours
Very pretty..lots of dedicated work. Thanks for the demo.🥰
This was an experience lol! I love your energy 🖤
This came out so cute!
Crochet is life 🧶
Wow! It turned out great!!
Love your video, you totally inspired me to make my own jumper I finally finished today!! 👌
That was so beautiful and entertaining to watch thank you ♥️
So cute!!
wait your shirt is like my dream thrift! aghhh!
i needed more of ur crochet content thank u
I actually like growing the arm from the sweater. It gives me more of an idea of how it's gonna look and fit and I like having a big project on my lap. I like making bigger things like sweaters bc of that reason. I watched your sweater vest video too and you are very skilled! It's nice watching people get into the hobby and make things they are gonna wear. You are creating a memory with yourself.
a great tip i use a lot is, when starting the stitches from the ribben, make the first row the same color as the ribben. That makes the final product look much more put together :) hope it helps
Wow!!!!! Looks fantastic
This is amazing!!😍😍❤
You make it looks so easy !! Now I need to make a sweater 👀👀
I am so impressed. It looks so cute on you and making one for Benson is going to be awesome. Tell us how you took off large pieces. That's a good thing to know. Anyway, congrats. You did it. Yay!
Watching while I knit a color blocked cardigan! Wish I could crochet! I can only do like a square but give me two knitting needles and you will get a sweater pretty quick lol
It looks so cuteee great job
Wonderful color combination !
Nice and cool job! So close for fall, Jenna!❤️🍂
I love it, thanks for showing us!
Love everything about this video
This is the first video I have seen by you I am 14 seconds in and I already love your personality you just got another subscriber
You are just too cute... I love how you just do your own thing.... They are all adorable...
Can anyone please tell me how she fixed the width of the sweater 💢💢
It turned out so good. I knew you were going to frog when you did. I recognize that look in the eyes.
this is actually a really good tutorial

How do you even cut it without making it unravel?
@LuminetheoneandHOLY
8 ай бұрын
If it is along a row you can cut it and it doesn't fall apart, I did that once when my amigurumi Head was to large and I couldn't unravel it😢 so scary... but it worked. Unless you cut vertically, I imagine then it'll fall apart.
Wow 😍 I love it
I love your sweater! And i love that you developed your crocheting skill
Such a cute sweater! Your video's always make me smile. Thank you!
Looks amazing!!
Oh shoot who needs to do lesson plans IMA GO CROCHET A SWEATER! I love the shape of your sleeves!
