🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZread yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I get bored also, very enthusiastic in the beginning and when it's not going quick enough, I start sth else, my granny quare blanket still waits to be finished, started 2 yrs ago🙈🙈🙈
I went through stage 4 cancer treatment 2 years ago. I've decided to crochet an Afghan for all 8 of my family members. Something I'd like to give them to remember me by if my cancer comes back. I'm using this pattern for the one for my sister. Thank you. Update: started this with red heart boutique in meadow and it is coming out beautifully. It's very simple, but I can never remember how to end or begin the rows, so I refer back to the time stamp links in the description box. Thank you very much for including that.

I can’t just work on one project, so I’m thrilled to hear you do the same! I’m grateful for all your help. Thanks a million! Love ya, Rose McCombs

I'm almost like this. I'll do a painting, then a cross stitch, then a diamond dot (eh, I was trying them out) and then back to the one crochet project. Well, two at the moment because I'm out of work with the covid thing, and my big blanket is stuck in the office, haha.

Same here, I also get bored quickly but then when I get motivated I crochet like a mad woman. Thanks for your tutorial.
I am relieved by knowing Im not the only person who easily gets bored and jumps to another project and eventually ends ups having 3 projects at a time! 😂💕 Love this pattern 😍
Hi I’m a super beginner and I still have to go back and practice my stitches and I will definitely come back and I will finish!!!!!

That is so funny😂😂. I used to do that alot and found if I have 2 crochet projects and 1 knitting and throw in sewing as needed, I am actually able to finish.Quite an achievement, I also got alot more picky about what I make.It helps.Good luck ladies and gents.Remember you can always rip it apart and use your yarn for some thing else.

"Startitosus"!!! I love it! So glad to know it's not just me!
This pattern just popped up on my screen while I was looking for something else, I've been looking for one like this. So pretty and seems easy enough. I'm starting it tonight, thank you so much for sharing it!
Your directions are very easy to follow. Even somebody that really had never of crocheted very much would be able to follow you so thank you so much.
Really appreciate the very clear and close focus and your clarity explaining and showing the steps you are taking for this project.
I'm so with you there. I fall in love with a pattern that's simple and then something else catches my attention that's more intricate and that's wrap or another unfinished WIP lol. This blanket is beautiful!

I used to turn a lot of my unfinished blankets and wraps into cushions as that scratched the itch for a while but then I got bored of cushions 😂
I made a table runner from this stitch and just started a scarf. It's a fun stitch to work with. :)
I have startitis too!!!! LOL I have so many unfinished projects sitting around, I get bored and change my mind all the time!!! We seem to have a lot in common lol thank you for all you do to help everyone learn this craft 🥰😍😘

I love how you teach! I learned to crochet from my Granny G at the age of 10, needless to say that was many decades ago. I have never learnt as easily from someone as her until seeing your videos. Thank you.
This has become one of my favorite stitches. Thank for your excellent teaching video and well written instructions. I’d never have believed I could do something like this a few months ago.
The perfection in your work is incredible! Such amazing colours and beautiful stitches 💓
Beautiful rainbow colors! Love this. Thank You!!!
Love this pattern we are expecting a granddaughter in June so this is perfect, looks like it’s not too heavy which is great for Texas fall and winter. Thank you.

@@HookedbyRobin I am loving crochet, and crochet videos. I picked up a hook and some yarn on special a few months ago and thought I'd 'have a crack at it' and now I'm sitting with four full tubs and two enormous bags overflowing with every kind of yarn imaginable and I am trying every stitch I can to see what grooves. Thank you so much for your channel... I spend a LOT of time here!

Thanks didn't realize how simple this is. Wow and it is so beautiful
What a beautiful blanket. I love your color choices.
This is so pretty. Its lacey but not too difficult. I just picked up some dusty rose yarn. This would make a nice wrap. Thank you💖

Robin, I mean this in a nicest possible way when I say..." you are making me crazy with all of these wonderful pattern ideas." Ha ha. I truly can relate to your going gung-ho with a project and then getting bored with it. Seems many of us have that problem. I would like to say that your video teaching style is very helpful and your camera work and showing where things/stitches go is darn near perfect. Your enunciation is wonderful. I say that with the utmost sincerity, because I have been a medical transcriptionist for 20 years, and I know only too well how hard it is to listen to someone who isn't clear and concise in their speaking. Much obliged. Keep up the great work. Crochet on!

But what do I do LOL I started a new project last night I think all of us crocheters are guilty of this LOL I love the Stitch you are doing here so there may be another new project getting started lol thank you
Love it, thank you so much! I have some Landscapes, Scarfie, Unforgettable waves , etc. that I have been wanting to try with a shell type stitch. I guess scarf and hat sets are in order.
