Lovely! Yes there are many different amounts of stitches, I also at times have less chains to have a tighter fabric!

Great video. I've been making a lot of Granny Squares lately using the RHSS All-in-one granny yarn. I have been using Granny squares to make covers for canvas pouches and bags. Lots of fun.

Red Heart? They have yarn that has been dyed in such a way that it should change the colours correctly for a granny square.

Does that yarn work correctly? I have seen a few videos about it.

It does work but it can be a bit of a pest getting the colors to work just right. You have to get just the right tension and hook size. I don't use their pattern either I just make it the way I always do.

Thank you for the tutorial. I am making my first temperature blanket. My squares are only 3 rounds, and I am only using 2 colors with white as the main trim. I don't want to get bored so every 2 weeks I am changing designs. This has become difficult because not all designs have the the same number of stitches across each side. My squares are a little over 3 inches with 9 stitches across. So far I have found 7 designs that work. When I began, I was too loose and it shows especially when attaching the row together. I know it's too late with this blanket, but do you have suggestions on how to attach the squares? I'm not happy with mine.

That's a great idea, using different squares for a temperature blanket! True, not all squares go together if you want the corners to match. An easy way is to crochet them together from the right side using contrasting yarn colour. Or you could use this seam that doesn't show at all kzread.info/dash/bejne/hplkp5mhk83Hhto.html
