Jordan Downey, I love the way you reimagined the shapeshifting bounty hunter. He looks like a being made of pure energy, rather than a guy in a rubber mask. Not to rib on practical effects, mind you. Overall, this film has amazing production value. From the Crite to the eggs, and so on, it all looks professional.

this needs to be a full film! :D

I just suffered through A New Binge and it was atrocious. Your work here is a million times better, more faithful to the franchise and has so much more production value. Why they didn't at least ask you to work on the new series is beyond me. I hope you get a chance to do more with the Critters franchise in some capacity in the future. Thank you for making this labor of love and take care.

Amazing. This was quality right here. Hollywood could really take notes from you. The atmosphere and music was spectacular and chilling. The effects were great, especially the bounty hunter's sort of "cosmic" look. I wouldn't mind sequels here. I enjoyed this more than the last two movies we got from Hollywood.

This was definitely a quality film. Very detail oriented. Everything from the what was playing on the TV to the toilet seat cover. This is a true fan film brought to the next level. I'd to see this turn into a series! Great work!

WB would be total jackasses not to hire Jordan Downey for the web series. This is one of the greatest fan films ever made. Simply amazing.

This is better than the 2019 shit revival they did. I just threw "Critters Attack" in the garbage. Yes it's that bad.

Man I wish you were in charge of the new critters tv show coming out. You make them look like theirs look like a fan film.

I love this more than words can express, i so want a reboot or a sequel to this franchise.

[Scene from the Original "Critters"]: Critter 1: "They have weapons!" Critter 2: So what?!" (Shotgun blast blows Critter 2 away) Critter 1: "FUCK!!"

Not only is the production on this really good, the horror element was done right. Instead of simple jumpscares, there was plenty of tension and suspense as the bounty hunter hunted for the crite. Job very well done.

I'm watching your video in 2024 because I've noticed that my videos are showing up after yours. I did a critter prop video. I wish they'd make more critter movies! This was great! Very well produced! I've always thought of it as a great franchise. You have inspired me.

100% better than any episode of A New Binge.

If Critters ever gets its true reboot I hope they actually try and bring back the 1940s-60s theme of it all... It'd be great for nostalgia. Plus I just love when people try to recreate past eras in American history.

Jordan Downey did more in less than seven minutes then both the Critters sequels after 4 put together. Give him the series. Let him carry it on. KILL MORE CRITES!

Having seen the ad for the new CRITTERS series, they dropped the ball on not getting you. :-(

You have shown much respect to the series in this fan film, well done. I really liked what you did with the Bounty Hunter's face it's a better look than the original faces I think. If you don't get to direct I would still love to see more stuff like this from you guys.

I did not know that there is a fan base for critters. I thought it was just me. Who am I? A ten year old in the late 80s who was renting the video tape of critters numerous times in the video club store in Greece. Now I realize that it is normal to be a fan.

Looks much better than Shudder's ball-less New Binge.

I have been hoping for a continuation, a book series or a remake of this film series for ages. I would love to see this real deal happen. There needs to be a backstory or some lore on the krites/critters. I would support you 100%. Thanks for the great work of art you have here.

He who fears nothing - I wish the same - Critters is one of the most neglected franchises there is when it comes to additional content for fans. At the same time, that’s what makes it a little special. We’re left with questions that are never answered.

It's the fact that this is so much better than either the new series (which seems to have been written by someone who tried to write a new sequel to Airplane and got mixed up & is acted people who have never seen a script or camera before) or the new movie (slightly better than the series but still beyond bad) speaks volumes.

Critters are still one of my favorite movies.... we need a reboot

This should be a bonus feature in the Critters Box set. One of the best fan films and homage to Critters. Awesome job!

Fantastic work, definitely 1 of the better produced/directed fanfilms out there. Well worth a watch for Critters/80s fans with the practical fx work. Plus...director of Thankskilling? Give this dude the job!

I enjoy Critters more than Gremlins, there i said it.... This fan film is the Bloody Cake we've deserved after all the years and all our birthdays without a present from these Alien Invaders.... Superb Job 😀

If I was Warner Bros I would give you guys the money to make a full critters movie. Awesome job.

This was a really cool throwback, and I really hope you get the job. You showed a lot of potential and good work in modernizing Critters while pulling it back to its roots. Also, any possibility of that Power Of The Night cover being released? That would be spectacular.

Personally, I don't think Critters have gained as much recognition as Gremlins and it should. I definitely loved the comedy though! Those Crites are twisted but hilarious! 🤣

You could say that the design here looks way better then the design used in Critters attack

Man, I just saw the trailer for the new Critters series and your fan film looks SOOOOOO much better and what I was hoping to get out of a new Critters series. Really wish you would have been able to make it instead.

I watched 'Critters Attack!' yesterday so this was great and helped wash away that memory!

I've been a huge Critters for for about 20 years now, and I can honestly say this is the BEST Critters-related thing since the films themselves. I mean that. You absolutely are the man for the job!

This is mutch better of the "official" series! A very good tribute, I still love Critters quadrilogy.

I just discovered this bad ass '80s flashback short film. Awesome job. The jam at the end just drove it home.

Wow! That movie so much better like Critters attack or the New Binge! The camera work great, the scenes have a "retro Creeters" feeling, the Bounty hunter looks amazing! Just perfect!

This was legit! A lot of details and subtleties to this that show passion for the source material. I'm highly impressed. Will recommend it to a lot of people. Keep up the good work!

I wanted to leave another comment. This is an excellent film. You absolutely deserve to direct this new web series. I have been begging and begging all over Twitter for someone to do this and I am very happy with this film and I really hope you are chosen to revive the series. I went back and watched the first one last night. My favorite part is Charlie waking up in the holding cell yelling "They're comin'!" Brilliant! And remember, you can always cast Didodi for any type of appearance in a "Critters" production. It would be my pleasure! Good luck to you and your team!

By the far the best "fan film" I've ever seen- most the time I get bored watching them or feel like the supposed "fan" doesn't understand what's good about the thing they're a fan of. This is spot on. Clearly made my professional filmmakers too. If that series ever happens, of course it's gotta be your job 👍🏻

Great job! You perfectly captured the look and feel of the first 2 Critters films! Also, you nailed that 80's vibe wonderfully. I love the swirling effect on the Bounty Hunter's face, very nice touch. This also had good pacing and suspense. I really hope Warner Bros. hires you to make the web series, as I think you'll do a great job with it. You definitely are the guy to reboot Critters!

FINALLY! Someone who makes a fan film and puts REAL effort into it! Fantastic work! Been a massive fan of Critters since I was a kid and would love to see it come back. If it were put in your hands, I wouldn't be disappointed! On a technical level though, may I ask what you used to shoot this?

These movies were a source of many nightmares as a kid, but I still loved watching them. (Except 4, didn't care for that one) Great fan film, especially the effects and creature design. I hope you guys get the green light to create more like this!

Great short movie for Critters! The alien head effect is new and spot one but the critter creature looked fantastic. My son (11 yrs old) and I saw the original Critters yesterday and he loved the movie. I never knew of this short movie until today. Very well done!

I've often thought that the Bounty hunter guns utilize sonic or concussive seismics to achieve destruction. They're not plasma. They're not particle beams. They're just a loud, sonic gun that fires a sonic blast-wave which shatters everything around them. But that doesn't account for the scorch marks on the debris they leave behind.

Love this!!! Nice touch with the bounty hunter's "Nothing Face" glowing. There are very few well made fan films in existence, or at least from my viewing experience so far, and this is one of them!!! Everything here is nice and authentic, including the bounty hunter's costume and gun, and course the critter/eggs! I loved the little cameo from Terrence Mann (on the t.v.) here, and the "Power of the Night" cover song at the end credits!

This is shot better than 50% of movies that actually get greenlit (*sharknado etc) and better than anything AnchorBay has ever produced. These guys who did this fan film know exactly what they are doing and what the fans want.

Attention to the mythology and faithfulness to the originals is what Hollywood consistently continues to miss. Every time, it seems. It's this whacked notion that 'so long as it's new and different than the last, it'll be better' for the new generation excuse. And fans don't want familiarity because they need it. They just want it because they want it and to see a continuation of the same world as the former films, and this short piece of art you made shows this perfectly. You show respect and homage to Ugg and the style and the suit of the bounty hunter, and no face - even down to the detail of song choice at the end. It's what made James Cameron's Aliens so great, because he continued the story from Alien and respected the original. Hollywood's version of making a sequel is Alien Resurrection or Alien Vs Predator. We need artists in control again. Fright Night Part II 1988 version is the prime example of an incredible horror sequel, opening film shows flashes of the original. Opening dialogue mentions and discusses former character and head villain from the original and the entire movie pays homage and respect to the original, whilst introducing new characters and scenarios. But sequels aren't made that way anymore and that's why they and Hollywood suits suck.

I'd rather watch this on repeat for 2 hours while a critter mauls me than ever see a single clip of critters attack again .... seriously there is more effort and talent in this than amazing fan film than the whole cast and crew of critters attack ...well done ...

I loved this short, yet could not believe when I saw new material on the net, just watched the entire series last week to see details of direction and above all remember that loved these films, greetings from Mexico, "Esta Chingon"

I know I'm a few years late to comment, but I had to throw in my two-cents as both a movie buff and a Critters fan. Everything is Hollywood caliber, but the best is the sound design, the Critter effect, and the cinematography! These three things were better than most movies I've seen with large budgets, backed by the major six. I am extremely impressed! Some of the best six-and-a-half minutes I have ever spent on the internet!

Thanks! I pulled a lot of the sound effects, like the blaster extending and firing, from the first two Critters movies. Troy did a great job with the Critter puppet then Kevin did a great job lighting it to look its best, and with the cinematography overall.

Actually, when I first watched this, what caught my ear -- as strange as this sounds -- were the boots of the bounty hunter. How heavy they sounded on the deck and going through the house. That was when I knew this was going to be something special. It's something anyone could miss from the originals... but not you guys!

I've never seen 'Critters', but I still wanted to say that this was an all-around very well done short.

The quality is superb. Does not seem low-budget looking at it. Excellent job. :)
