What makes a crystal so enticing? Is it the way it captures light? Is it the promise of opulent elegance and somber distinction? It could be the transparent truthfulness, the sheer cleanliness or simply its hypnotizing glance. Could all these not also be attributed to chypre fragrances? If so, why does Cristalle from Chanel stand out so? Let's take a closer look.

Thank you for watching!
I love it! I think chypres are going through some hard times, they're way off all the current trends. I think Crystalle, Chanel No. 19, Sisley's Eau de Soir are for people that like what they like and don't care for wearing only trendy stuff or the ultimate gourmand. At this point gourmands got me exhausted, I'm coming back to my classics, Dune, No.19, Dolce Vita and recently I finally could put my hands on a vintage Mahora by Guerlain. Lovely video!

Gourmands are a fad, chypres are forever. Nice work with Mahora! It is a stunner and so referenced! Thank you for watching!
Love them both but always preferred the edp version too, I think you picked the right one 😂🎉

Thank you, I think so too!
Although I'm a massive fan of Chanel (I currently have 8 perfumes from them), Cristalle has never really caught my attention. It's a shame they have discontinued it: after your enthusiastic description, I would have given it another try for sure. I hope they never discontinue Antaeus though, that's probably the closest I get to Cristalle according to your review. I hate that they keep discontinuing deodorants, especially those designed "for men".

Cristalle had this ability to fly under the radar with me as well for so many years. It’s known as the Chanel “vetiver scent” and very underrated. I wouldn’t liken it to Antaeus except for Cristalle’s earthiness and even that is in terms of concept, not notes. I’m sure you can still find it somewhere to give it a smell. Coco and Amazone from Hermès are also on my long list. Shame about discontinuations, it’s been going on everywhere lately. I guess they’re not selling. Thank you for watching!

@@MemoryFlo I love vetiver, I already have the Sycomore from the Les Exclusives line, and it’s really nice. I’ve just purchased an Égoïste today, as I was instigated by your review to go visit a Chanel boutique.

@@bogdancristea9270 congrats on your purchase! Sycomore is really something, isn't it? That's why it's weird to hear Cristalle called the Chanel vetiver, when clearly that's Sycomore.
It was just being repackaged.
