Join Jeremy ‘Egghead’ Vile, as he puts on his best robotic drama queen voice for the final time, for the opening case, while standing around at Bletchley Park in an Ill-fitting, Del Boy knock-off overcoat. The upmarket Portakabin (laughingly referred to as a ‘mobile incident unit’) has been hauled up to Buckinghamshire for this thankfully last episode. Satisfying the diversity brief, Tina ‘top totty’ Daheley provides details of other cases - unfortunately, talking or, on occasion, shouting as if she either has a peg on her nose or is experiencing serious sinus problems. Whatever, in one instance, she seems incapable of distinguishing between a van and a truck. Reduced by budget constraints, the far from dynamic duo share the presenting ‘tasks’. At least we are spared the insufferable Rav ‘the chav’ Wilding and ex-cop, Martin ‘Rugger Bugger’ Bayfield with their arrogant, macho posing, sarcasm, stupid puns and predictable demand for ‘names, please’. Sad to see a once engaging programme with a serious remit become an abysmal parody of itself.
