Creeking in my Dagger Katana 10.4 : Clear Creek Redding CA.

Спорт

I hooked up with my good buddy George Williams for a sporty run down our local class III creek here in Redding. The run started off with a pinned kayak, which had me a little on edge for the first few rapids. Once I got the feel for the run, I ended up having the time of my life. I was so impressed with how the Katana performed. It's a big boat to take down such skinny water, but it handled it like a champ.

  • @georgewilliamssr5230

    @georgewilliamssr5230

    Cross over boat will work. But you will have more fun in a boat designed for that kind of water. And you'll probably out grow a cross over boat pretty fast. If your looking to do more white water.

    Awesome video! I'm looking into getting the katana but cant decide on the 10.4 or 9.7. Is there a noticable difference in handling with a bigger or smaller kayak or is it mainly related to storage space?

    Frank Ruiz yes the small one in a better paddling boat. But I’m 220lbs so the small one is just a touch small for me.

    @@StarGehzer I have the 9.7. I'm the same weight and 5' 9". I haven't tried the longer boat, but this one fits great. I had to move the thigh braces and the seat, but the Katana has features that make adjustments easy for fit so you can dial it in. My Katana has way better outfitting and adjustments than my Eddyline touring boat, ha! Nice seat too!! Hope you can get your hands on one. It's pretty tough right now.

    Hey Dan! Fantastic video, inspired me to get the Katana 10.4! The only trouble im having is adjusting the bulkhead. To ensure a snug fit I have to push it all the way into the the front on the 5th hole (4 holes free on my side of the nut), but honestly I can barely touch it with my feet. It was more comfortable at the 7th or 8th hole however I couldnt get the bulkhead to stay snug (too much space between the inside rim and the bulkhead). So should I just move my whole seat up so i can have my feet braced against the bulkhead? Thanks!

    Hey Dan, what skirt are you using for your katana?

  • @stephen530

    @stephen530

    4 жыл бұрын

    Not Dan but i just got the dagger katana 10.4 and a XL skirt from Immersion Research and tried it out yesterday to find that it fits real snug. First time getting it on was really tough but after leaving it on a stretching it out for a little it was easier the next time. The cockpit size for the 10.4 is 95" circumference so on IR website it borders literally right between XL and XXL spray skirt size. I went with the smaller one for the tighter fit. Cheers!
