My Dad loved this song. When me and my sibling where born he was so proud... Him and I listened to it together a lot. And he’d brag about how happy he was... He passed away recently and this was playing at his funeral... I stood over his open casket kissing on the cheek as this song played in the background.... I miss my Dad. No one understands how much he hurt himself just for the sake of our happiness... My dad was my world... My everything.

I lost my dad 2 years ago unexpectedly and the hurt was so much for me, I understand how the pain your going through! He had Alzheimer’s and had hard life towards the end!!

I'm brazilian and I would like to say with this song I praised God! More than a year ago singing this song and it touched my heart. My dreams, my fears, my insecurities and today I'm living in another place, I'm living alone, almost independent ... something that never crossed my mind, I managed to realize my dreams, doing what I want and now I see that it seems that God was singing this song for me and today I realize the meaning of it. I too, sat down and wrote my feelings the night my first son was born. It was different in my thought processes from the lyrics here. Fast forward a couple of years, my son was young, my daughter arrived , and this song appeared. I get the same feeling each time I hear it as when I wrote to my grandmother telling her all about her new great grandson.

Man I remember my middle school playing this song whenever we were watching the images of what happened on 9/11. This always always stuck with me.

Back after years of this being posted. I’m 19 now, this is the song my mother was listening to when she found out she was pregnant with me so she says. It just makes me happy.

This is a wonderful song for my mother and brother I lost my mom on Christmas day of 2010 and never had the opportunity to spend time with her and my brother passed away last year in AZ I love you Ryan Carl Ticknor I will never forget about you both your both are at peace

I also sat down and wrote down my feelings the night my first son was born. It was different in my thought processes from the lyrics here. Fast forward a couple of years, my son was young, my daughter arrived , and this song appeared. I get the same feeling each time I hear it as when I wrote to my grandmother telling her all about her new great grandson. Never ceases to bring me tears of joy and love.

I remember listening to this right after finding out I was pregnant with my first...we werent ready, had only been dating for a short time.....we have since gotten married and have been for three years. My baby boy will be 4 at the end of this month and I cant believe how fast he is growing. He is my entire world.....he will always be my baby

When I see parents who kill their children it makes me so emotional, I will never understand HOW any parent can kill their own child! I am the mother of 3 and Grandmother of 2 even, my Grandchildren are like my very own....I love them unconditionally, PERIOD! :)

Never heard this song before until I attended a funeral for a child, one of most tragic funerals I’ve attended

This song reminds me of my first born son. It came out around the time he was conceived... He's in his twenties now. Time flys. It gets me in the feels.

I've been thinking of this song since I finally got pregnant with my daughter. Now I've got her in my arms and we're listening to it together. She's 1week old today.

On February 3,2001 and this is true my mom gave birth to me and my number one favorite song by creed is arms wide open and Scott Stapp and on May 10,2021 my mom passed away and that's why that song by creed arms wide open is a memory of my mom 🙏 ✝️

When i have a kid, this is gonna be the first song i listen to.
