Hii there, I just have two questions. Can it really drive a 600 ohm can properly?? I have a G6 and I'm thinking about getting myself a Beyerdynamic DT99P Premium (600 ohm) headset, is it a good choice?? Would really appreciate if you could give me some other headset recommendations for my G6.

the only thing I want out of this is a powerful headphone amp with which I can listen to bass heavy music like techno house hip-hop without horrible sound distortion (bass loss and only distorted mid-high) I hope this will allow me to keep it while I remove my soundblaster Zxr it's blocking heat/airflow in my gaming pc lol the sound alteration part was really funny nj

Is this better than Fiio K5 pro ? Can you compare it with SoundblasterX AE-5,7,9 line up and similiar prices Fiio K5 pro ? Headphone is DT1990 250ohm.

Great review! I've been meaning to check this device out for a while now since I do a lot of gaming on PC/PS4. I wonder if you could tell us if there is a huge audio quality difference between the Sound BlasterX G6 and the iFi xCAN? I'm currently using the iFi Micro iDSD Black Label and its GREAT for gaming, but its probably too expensive for most gamers.

@@endahsari8165 I just use a USB to Mic/headphone adapter I got off of Amazon and I usually plug my Modmic 5 into that and it works fine for mic.

i have a THX AAA 789 and SMSL SU-9 and Seinhauser 880s and curious if this would make gaming better for me? im always looking for the next thing to push my gaming to the limit so i went ahead and purchased this to see whats what, im also using a balanced cable, wondering if the sound would degrade by switching to stock cables that came with Seinhauser

I'd used Creative SoundBlaster cards for years never had one break. In fact, I have a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Professional which is just past 5 yrs old and still works flawlessly. I just purchased the G6 for my laptop and it is totally awesome and super loud.

LOL the sound morph alone makes this thing worth it LOL

Im in the market for a gaming dac/amp and it's stupid the thing that pushed me over the fence in the voice morphing feature. Shame on me lol

Sennheiser GSX is gaming trinket overpriced for the use of Conexant CX20745. Budget level Audigy Fx/Xonar DGX have better DACs. Neither there's more headphone amplifier than in cheap phone/tablet, for which CX20745 is designed for. As for fitting of HRTF algorithm that depends on how close listener's head shape is to used average. Creative has head shape customizable "Super X-Fi" HRTF coming to sound cards in "Project Accent" planned for release in Q3.

Been running 250ohm and 600ohm Beyerdynamic headsets daily for months with zero issues. This thing absolutely beasts.

@@princesmith8008 Bass is actually really good, but it's not my favorite pair of headphones. I've got the 600 ohm DT880s as well, but they're wildly neutral. I like the TYGRs and the 250 ohm DT990s better. I adore the DT1990s.

Does it works with the PlayStation 5?

I owned this prior to JDS Labs Element, then Audio gd NFB-11.28. It's great for the price point, but it does have shortcomings. Distortion around 5 KHz that was audible.

@@BigJalapeno Now I have a pair of Audeze LCD-2C and ZMF Atticus...but back when I used the G6, I was using Sennheiser HD598 and Beyerdynamic DT770 80 Ohm. It barely powered the Beyers and there was noticeable distortion on high gain with volume past 65%. I actually forgot that I had an SMSL M6 DAC Amp combo also at work. I was sort of surprised how well those powered my DT 880 250 ohm headphones.

i buy this card, card play in windows 10 64 bit home last version and sound blaster connect 2 download from official support creative... dont load device... only write your audio device cannot be detected... also i installed last firmware and sb connect last version, where is a problem?????

Check your usb port. I just got the G6 plugged it into my laptop on a 3.0 port, picked it right up before I even installed the Connect 2 software.

Is this much worse than modi and magni?

Does it work in ps4?

how’s your German in comparison ?

I returned this after a week. The sound quality was worse than a £60 Lindy DAC AMP and also there was a very loud piercing noise when switching dolby on and off.

Funny I plugged the G6 into my $5000 Alienware and it works flawlessly with no problems what-so-ever. I also use Creative SoundBlaster in my custom desktop and it works perfectly. I'd have to say user error on your behalf.
