These starters are absolutely insane. I love all 3 of them. I do really like how you changed up the theories with the starters with the Grass Starter having the weapon and being semi aquatic since frogs live on land and water, the Fire Starter based on an extinct species of animal and the Water Starter based on an animal in the chinese zodiac being the snake If I had to give some criticism however, I would say that Deputree's lilypad hat looks a little similar to Lombre but I think maybe changing the shape of it a little would make it stand out from Lombre. Furthermore, the red feathers sprouting the top of the fully evolved fire starter looks a little too big and I think simply shrinking it down a little bit would make it a bit more appealing. As for the water starters, Riptidle and Quetzalcoral look just a little bit over designed and I would just suggest toning down on the added coral parts although, I do understand why this is the way it is. Other than that, absolutely amazing starters. You've earned a new subscriber after seeing these designs and if the other pokemon are as good as these starters, you can bet i'll be wanting to watch more. Hope you didn't take my advice negatively. Just trying to help with some positive constructive criticism :)

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but Riptidle's name could also draw from "idol" which is an image or representation of a god as an object of worship, directly hinting at the final evolution

Actually the trios started in gen 4 with them all being based on god like myths, Torterra the world turtle, Infernape Sun Wukong, and Empoleon Poseidon/King Triton.

I like these Starters. Out of all three Id probably choose the fire starter because of my love of Carnival dancer costumes. But that Water Starter is a close second. :)

This is an interesting concept of a Quetzalcoatl, you could say you “blew it out of the water” XD But seriously, this is a really amazing idea for a water starter, I’d definitely go for this boi, followed up by the frog boi

All three final designs are cool! I feel like Bubboa's eyes are a little off for me, though everything else in this series has been perfect!

This starter line and the starter trio in general is very good! All of them are so perfect that I cannot decide which I would choose yet! I would love to see more Fakemon of the Reoma region!

Holy heck, the Water type is OP. You should have made the Grass starter part Fairy due to the Dragon typing making Water resist Grass (Which means the Grass starter is boned in this region, due to Fire also being quad effective against it due to grass being Grass/Fighting and Fire being Fire/Psychic.

I can see Bubboa always stealing the fire starters eggs (the middle evo could sacrifice those eggs to legendaries)

I,m a water shill i really am but i,m going with grass this time i much prefer simple punchy designs and the grass starter is just perfect and fires really good to, it manages to have a good balance in spite of its complexity making it vary fun to look at. i don't know what throws me on this one maybe its all the different textures, the asymmetry or the lack of arms/larger wings i don't know. but its not all bad i like the route one mammal a lot so perhaps that will serves as sort of a replacement he seems like a chill dude who means business + water so that's awesome keep up the grate work man i look forward to seeing more soon

Here’s an idea for a Pokémon another theme that Pokémon games have adopted is a early dark type so how about a two-stage evolution dark type cat that is based on smuggling, you can literally give it the perfect name catture

Can you pls make a 3 stage cat as a Jaguar Like luxray but dark type it could be based on tezcatlipoca the night and Jaguar god in Mayan culture it could be the enemy to the water starter because it can swim and it hunts it like Jaguars hunt kamen

That’s a lie the trend of starter Pokémon sharing a common theme goes further back then gen 5. It started in gen 3 with the sharing theme being martial arts (Septile = Kendo, Blaziken = Mui Thai Boxing, and Swampert = Sumo Wrestling). Also gen 4 has the sharing theme of divine beings (Torterra = The World Turtle from Hindu mythology, Infernape = Son Goku from Chinese mythology, and Empoleon = Poseidon from Greek mythology).

I've got a ton of comments about this. Gen 5 was the first one where it was confirmed by the designers to be the case. I get that there are themes that fans have come up with, but, judging by that gen 3 one, not all of them are particularly strong or confirmed theming.
